We can in fact, it's just that wet don't like to work up a sweat. So, we have other people fly us instead. Hi Sharkey!
Been a rather busy few weeks lately. Actually been off work all week (teacher work day the techs didn't attend , and two "bad weather" days that went unused). Gotta go back tomorrow, though. But, I've gotten quite a bit done so far around the house. Today, worked on the saltwater generator on the pool, it's been saying "low salt" ever since getting everything running, kept adding salt, still saying low. Figure the unit is going bad. Already cleaned the electrolytic cells, so that's not it. However, all is not lost.....you see, what had happened was, invested in the unit 2-3 years ago (can't really remember right off hand), it arrived, I plugged it up to test before connecting everything, and ...no power. Hmmm. So, called Intex, they replaced the unit, and didn't have me ship the bad one back (surprisingly). Hooked up new unit, working great. Fast forward to today. I dug out the old unit, took the electrolytic cell off, put in on working unit, and....it works! Looks like the contacts where it plugs in to the electronics is going bad. Oh, well, saved $80 by reusing old part. But wait, there's more! I took the original unit apart, just to see if there's a fuse or something that could be wrong with it. Found a wire that wasn't connected to anything, and a contact plate with nothing attached to it....hmmm. They seem to fit together...hmmmm, interesting. Plugged it up, then plugged in power, turned it on, and guess what? It works! Yay! Awesome. Also this week, helped a baby bird. We've got at least 5 birds nests around the house (3 in the garage, one in a rose bush, and a new one under the front porch, which quite honestly is the most amazing on. How them little rascals built a nest on a wall with barely 1/2 inch of wood to work on beats me, but it's there. This is the one we're focusing on, the others have already hatched and gone (finches in the garage, red bird in the rose bush, not sure what's on the porch). So, go outside Saturday to find one of the 4 babies on the front door mat. Decided to leave it alone and inform the family to leave it alone. However, later that afternoon, it hadn't left that spot, and was getting direct sunlight on it. I got an old plastic bowl, filled with shredded paper towls, and put him in it and out of the sun. Later that afternoon, daughter shouted, I figured a cat or snake was sniffing around the baby, but no, little birdy #2 was hanging upside down on the nest. "Rescued" him and put him with brother/sister in bowl. They stayed put for the next day, and the other two are still in the nest, and mommy was still feeding them. Good deal. Monday I really needed to mow (it'd been two weeks, it was bad), but one of the babies was missing. We looked all over (in the rain...which also hampered mowing), but no sign. Hoping he flew off. Later that after noon the other one was in the yard, but was raining again, so we put him back in box. It was pretty cool touching finger to its chest and it stepping up on finger, almost like it knew we were helping it. Usually it's the opposite. Today he flew off. Other two are still in nest (slackers). Had daughter and son walk in front of mower while I mowed to make sure they were hiding in the tall grass. Normally, I wouldn't intervene in nature, and let it takes it's course, but I really didn't want to mow a baby bird, and I know there are cats around. So, I did what I could, without intervening too much. Other stuff been going on...I can't even keep track - graduations, ceremonies, building images, etc., just been crazy busy.
There's nothing wrong with going down a rabbit hole, unless there are yellow jackets surrounding it o.o Isn't she though?
I went and had my blood pressure checked. All good! But. My wife drove my truck to my Doctors. Holy moly she was going 80mph down the highway, I turned to her and ask, do you have to go to the bathroom? No! Thankfully this was after I had my BP done.
