We spent much of the day shooting at the public archery range, at a local park. Weather was good, & we saw some other folks we know from our club.
You still have Jerry Lee right down the road, though. I didn't know Elvis had a ranch in MS. Is it close to you? I went once to the Lewis Ranch.
It is exactly one mile from my house. 301&302 intersection. It's 200 acres. Jerry Lewis' house is about 20ish minutes from here.
Are they going to fix up what is there or another fancy housing complex? They seem to put a bunch of those in that area.
I saw Elvis today on the street. He looked like he lost some weight. Gonna see him perform tomorrow night as part of the Million Dollar Quartet.
Let's see, I need to update you guys on where I've been, lately. Thursday, I found out via my wife's facebook that my aunt passed away. Spent my "day off" at work dealing with a crypto virus because somebody clicked on a link in a suspicious e-mail. Finally made it home at 1:00 AM. Saturday I saw Maleficent (Awesome movie, Angelina Jolie was inspired casting), picked up a cheap, manual treadmill, and played boggle at a friend's house. Yesterday, it was Church, lunch with the same friends, and then the viewing. Oh, and I picked up a new Black and Decker food processor yesterday. I'm enjoying some homemade peanut butter as I type this. I don't know why I put off buying one of these things for so long.
WOW! My oldest son was here last night with my 2 grandsons. The youngest (Alex) is a whipper snapper! Threw a ball at my big screen tv. And I have a no ball policy indoors. They'll be back tonight for a barbecue. Wish me luck.
Thanks. She was one of my more "real" aunts, and she'll be missed, even though I hadn't seen her in years. And homemade peanut butter is the best.
Sorry for the loss, Micah. As for the food processor, you got the scroll saw and drill press attachments, right? (Actually, my favorite appliance is a B&D one cup coffee maker which has been going strong for almost 20 years. )
Busy day yesterday…two services, staff lunch & meeting and 102°F outside—but I was able to finally come home and spend some time in the 'shop.' In the process of making some razor scales: scale-making noob Today I had the pleasure of taking my Volvo S80 in for service—new struts and mounts are needed on the front—est. $1200+…so I'm without wheels all week. Good thing I have 3 sons with vehicles I can borrow.
