Randy, I know what you are going through. It almost is a year ago since my Dad passed away with cancer. Be sure to take care of yourself and stay close to those you love during this time.
Does anyone else here give voices to each person when you read their post, based off of their personality on here?
Sadly enough my voice has already been clearly identified. http://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/gd-carrington-interview-on-moustache-and-blade-podcast.35470/
I woke up at 5 am thinking today was going to be an awesome day. It was on its way until 8:55 am when fixing a problem on my domain controller, it unmasked about a dozen other issues. The entire building was down, no network, no email, no phone system, no ticketing system. Much of was because of a half assed contractor that set this stuff up a couple years ago. He kludged it together and got out of there. Each time I fixed something, I found another problem. Luckily I was able to get most everything up and running by 5 pm. A very rough and exhausting day and I had to go to our volunteer appreciation dinner after work. I was sitting at the table and the waiter bumped something and the leg collapsed. I had 8 place settings and glasses of water spew all over me. Tomorrow must be better than today... So what do I sound like?
That's Billy Childish, an English painter, author, poet, photographer, film maker, singer and guitarist. He is known for his explicit and prolific work – he has detailed his love life and childhood sexual abuse, notably in his early poetry and the novels My Fault (1996), Notebooks of a Naked Youth (1997), Sex Crimes of the Futcher (2004) – The Idiocy of Idears (2007), and in several of his songs, notably in the instrumental "Paedophile" (1992) (featuring a photograph of the man who sexually abused him on the front cover) and "Every Bit of Me" (1993).
I should be ashamed of how long I've been on the internet. This is the first thing that popped in my head when I read that:
Broke my only shaving bowl this morning...ceramic & handmade by my sister. Very bummed about it - not a great start to the day. I guess I can finally make an argument to myself that I can invest in a scuttle now. Always a silver lining I suppose.
Just know the ceramic scuttles are very susceptible to breakage as well. With all the tile & granite surfaces in my bathroom, I'm a bit paranoid of knocking over my scuttles, either onto the floor or into the sink. None would fare well as a result.
