Got to work this morning, realized I left my lunch kit at home. Had to turn around and go back. On the way home, got a call from TWGW, "Having problems with network drives and e-mail."

When I got back to the office, I checked the server--all locked up. Keyboard is responsive, but the screen is stuck on "press ctrl+alt+del to log in" so I powered it down. After about 10 minutes of looking at a solid black screen on reboot and panicking, a mouse cursor finally appears! Then it turns that bluish green color we all hate. Then "Press ctrl+alt+del to log in." I tried it, and lo and behold! Servers back up! Woo!

No idea what caused all that. Second time in 2 weeks that the thing has gone black on me, though. Logs don't show anything suspicious. It's making me nervous.

Not a great way to start the week, but anyway...

    How y'all doin'?

Not bad - for a BGGGDDAAAA-day. My great-aunt had to go to the hospital last night, pancreatitis. Stayed up late balancing checkbook, paying bills....normally not very exciting, usually stressful - but paying off not one, but TWO cards was a sweet feeling :). Now, eleventy-seven hundred more to go.....:(
Went to field so daughter could practice her shot put and discus - got one incredible discus throw of 62'2". Her prior best had been around 53'. She just might make top three at the next meet if she can pull that throw off again.
Saturday started off well (plugs and purge valve, remember? that after replacing ignition switch earlier in the week....I'm still getting caught off-guard for a moment each morning when the car cranks on the first try, LOL), but then, wife wanted Chick-Fil-A for lunch...which means a trip to T-Town....which never ends with "getting home earlier enough to get anything else done today", no matter how early we leave...uggh.
But, today is monday...with it's normal monday-y things in store....bggddaa

The family went to the doctor and got throat swabs testing for Strep. My wife had it, my middle child has it, my oldest is getting it, and the baby cries for no reason... That was the weekend anyway. Needless to say it was a stay in your PJ's all day type of weekend.

I get a 5 day weekend coming up! I'm super excited about that, though I wish we could go somewhere...I guess we'll see.

I spent half my lunch time talking to my sis-in-law, helping her write an essay on Dracula (Bram Stoker) for her english class.

Can't wait to go home...yes I'm tired and suffering from random thoughts today!

Quite quite nervous. Today is my first day at this Mr.Mom gig. I know I can do it, but the support from my wife these past 8 weeks has been a great safety blanket.

I'm reminded of my new favorite book.... Harry Potter and the Reading Glasses: The Middle-age Years. :happy102::happy108:
    (large-print edition, of course)

There's nothing to it! Especially with a baby! All they do is eat and sleep. ;)

Good luck! Soon you'll be an old pro like me and be able to handle a room full of kids!

Gonna be honest, all I remember about taking care of my first born was giving her bottles and then taking naps! I was only scared to bath newborns.

Yeah, so far I've gotten Harry, Waldo, George Burns, and Mr. Peabody. I think I've pretty well run the gamut of well known guys who wear round glasses.

Isn't that right famous architect, Philip Johnson?

to be fair, I am happily childfree, and thus my knowledge of youngun's is largely made up of supposition, casual observation, and sheer uninformed opinion. I should have made that clear to begin with, I suppose.
