How's your day? March 2015

Future Farmers of America?

 

My day just started. Each day is hard and everything still seems so unreal.
I just keep waiting to wake up.
I try to stay busy. My family is a big help.
The Squirrel and The Edie-Bug are both highlights of my day. And Monica always takes great care of me.

If I didn't say it earlier, thanks to all of you for your support, prayers, and condolences. They are very appreciated.

Yep, the largest youth organization in the world used to be called Future Farmers of America but now goes by the acronym FFA because agriculture is more than just sows and plows.

 

Hope your knees heal. About the weather.

 

Woke up at 6:30am, ground up some coffee beans and had a pretty decent cup of coffee.
Day is not as productive yet but hopefully that'll change.

Oh, and to throw in some thread-required-misery: my left eye is really sore. Might need a new contact lens in it.

 

Today I started a batch of orange liquer (basically an infusion of vodka with orange rind, and some sugar added, at the end). It's the same technique as making limoncello, but with a different fruit.

 

It's been 3 weeks since my mom passed, we're having a memorial service on Saturday. She was laid to rest in New Jersey last week alongside my dad. I haven't been back to work since, luckily my employer is understanding.

 

I got 3 days from my employer when my Dad passed last year. You're very fortunate to have such an employer. Hope you''re feeling better.

Today sucked. Then it improved because of my son an his crawling capability, followed by a shave and finally ale to relax in front of an episode of Columbo. Season 1 episode Short Fuse for those that want to know.

 

So sorry to hear. It takes time. Keep active and focus on the funny memories. Laughter helps with the healing

 

Thank you. That's what I'm doing, I also know my moms in a better place. She's no longer in pain.

Yeah Kerry, so sorry to hear about that. Just had a friend here lose his Dad. Been trying to keep his spirits up as best as possible. Some days are better than others, but it's slowly getting better. Keep up the positive thoughts.

 

Had a terrible day today. Although I received two razors in the post it was a day to forget. And then someone did something really nice. MarshalArtist noticed I was after american soaps and has PIF'd me Razor MD cream and Balm. Never had anything like that done for me. I am very shocked and appreciate the kind offer. Today is a day that was terrible but ended with a simple kind action. Will play with my new razors when things are a little better

 

Sorry to hear that you had a rough first part of the day - but hey, nothing can carve a smile onto yer face like playing with a razor and/or a sharp blade, just ask the Joker

 

My day was pretty good til I got to shave this afternoon and then it got better! My ATT M2 did a dang fine job once again!
