Waiting for Bob's Little Sport Shop to open here in Glassboro. I want to check out their selection of Henry rifles. My first time here. Hoping they carry a selection of pocket knives, as well.

 

Spending some time out on the left coast visiting our daughter, son-in-law and grandson. On the way we stopped in Las Vegas and decided to do some casino time and picking in Vegas. I ended up grabbing a few razors and a couple of brushes. I will post in the haul later this evening but while at one place we ran into a gent and his dad who are just getting into vintage shaving. We chatted for about 15 minutes and of course the subject of The Shave Den came up. He said he will be checking it out

I have the corn beef, potatoes, onions and carrots all making magic in the crock pot. I'll throw in the cabbage at 4pm and wait for my lovely wife to come home.

 

With help from a couple of kind neighbors, I finally got my car out of the spot where it's been stuck since Tuesday. Now I can go for a shoot tomorrow.

 

Snowmen, you have been warned!

 

I made Guiness beef stew earlier in the week. Being that I'm not Irish, it was the best I could muster.

 

Nice! I'm thinking about having a Guinness beer, or two.

 

I got out to the range for a shoot today. There were a bunch of other folks there, which was nice. After being stuck in the house for days, I enjoyed having company.

 

I Took my son back to school at Gettysburg. After I dropped him off I went out to the battlefield. Started off on Seminary Ridge again. Found the plaques for the Virginia units that took part in Longstreet's Assault. Then I went over to Cemetery Ridge and got this picture of the marker commentating the "High Watermark of the Confederacy". On my way out of the battlefield I accidentally found the monument to the 1st New Jersey Brigade.

 

Beautiful day. Mowed the lawn. Had me huffing and puffing. I am not in the best shape. Will get better.

 

Not a bad day. Spent my morning in a hardware store. Got home and painted half my living room. The other half will be done tomorrow. Also got the TV hung after the paint dried, and the wires will be run through the wall tomorrow as well.

Side note: TV is not crooked, its away from the wall with a small forward angle. I checked it lol.

It is a really nice night at work. I try to walk 3-4 miles a night around the parking lot. Easy on nights like this.

more tough times for my Mom....she had another fall yesterday morning, resulting(from ER tests)in a fractured elbow. We're getting professional live-in assistance for her for the time being. I was over there for cat duty last night, this morning and evening, and will be for tomorrow morning before she and my sister return from the latter's house(where the guest bedroom is level with the ground, thus no stairs to climb.).

 

Sorry to hear that amigo. Least it wasn't a hip.
