It’s been a good day. I got together with a friend, to whom I gave some craft supplies I no longer use. Then we went out to lunch together. I hadn’t seen her in a while & it was really nice to catch up.
Back to the ophthalmologist today. The floater in my eye is still incredibly annoying, but my retina remains undamaged.
@macaronus This is the only smiling stone tiki in the Marquesas Islands (French Polynesia). It might date back as far as the 1400s. As archaeologists have now realized, it's also the only surviving proof that primitive Polynesians worshiped... MINIONS!
The hubby & I went away for the weekend (to Lancaster ,PA, for a tournament). As I had just changed some equipment, to which I am still adjusting, my performance was less than stellar. That’s OK; I expected that. My score was low, but less low than I expected, so I’m ok with it. But since there were only 3 entrants in my category, I’m still a champ! We also had some time to explore, and shop for some local delicacies. The weather was mild so we could not have asked for a better time.
Yesterday was interesting. We spent much of the day removing our old alarm system & replacing it with a new one (easier to use, provides the same services as the previous company, but monthly fees are much lower). Then, we spend the evening celebrating our 27th anniversary with some take-out, a favorite movie (“Arsenic & Old Lace) and a good bottle of Reiseling.
