How's your day? September 2015

I've actually never had chicken and waffles in my life...so this was a first this morning

 

Careful. That way leads to collard greens, butter beans and sweet iced tea. Then before you know it you'll be saying y'all, and bless your heart.

 

It was indeed very good - but not as good as the pork belly donuts we also had. Yum!

My son ran into one of @richgem s cousins at the Georgia Aquarium yesterday.

Finally got a day off! Typical Florida home maintenance, clean the pool filter, pull weeds, clean ceiling fans, get an oil change, pruning everything. And beer lots of beer. Tomorrow I get to take the boat out. (and clean it too) Maybe I'll catch a fish....

 

I've never had it. Looks interesting... I'm not sure. How was it?

nice day and not too windy. Got an hour of flights in. Now.. what to make for supper. Chicken and waffles you say? Maybe someday.. but not today.

 

Filet mignon wrapped in bacon with home made rosemary potato chips (oven fried).

 

That can't be real Southern chicken and waffles! There's fruit on the plate and it isn't covered in white viscous goo, I mean, "gravy."

 

For a penguin, you have good taste. But how does penguin taste?

Seriously, if Mrs. Coyote and lil Coyote weren't such picky eaters, that would have been a good suggestion. As it is, I guess I am going out to pick up pizza. At least it won't be Little Caesars.

 

Same as every other animal, with it's mouth.

They seriously don't know what they are missing.

Had been two years since I last had my eyes checked. Bifocals were starting to blur a bit. Went to a new optometrist here in NC; nice guy, very professional but friendly. I went with contacts again, for the first time since the early '00s I think. They're much more comfortable than I recall last time. Got monthly wear. Won't be missing glasses.

Problem was (first world, I know), contacts cut off clear near vision so I went to Dollar Tree and bought me a pair of reader glasses. They work great but geezerhood has officially arrived.

I wear contacts also, I wear them because I can't see the little things in life like my iPhone 6plus screen. They have changed the way I see things now! I also have the monthly wear, very comfortable. Congrats!

 

Indeed they are. I was shocked that I could barely tell that they were in.
