Took half a day sick time yesterday to make a dentist appointment, so I missed "Weapons Free Wednesday"
I ordered a new camera today- I wanted something more compact with high zoom. Traded in the older, bulkier high zoom.
I've got a decent job, it's Friday, I'm alive, I've got a bed to sleep in, I could keep going on. So overall it's a good day.
Hitting the goosehair. Reveille at 0500. Hopefully be out of the house by 0530. Talk at ya tomorrow night.
Yesterday was Yom Kippur;; a long, but meaningful day. In between the various services, I hung out with my childhood friend Robin, whose husband has, for the last 6 years, been our Rabbi. (Taking off my “Robin’s friend” hat, and putting on my “Congregant” hat, I can say that he is a very good Rabbi.) Once again, I had the honor of being among the Shofar players. In our congregation, we almost always have several. Basically, if you have a shofar and want to play at services, you are invited to. Some years, we even have some little kids who play. This is a custom I have come to love. Unfortunately, I have been up half the night, sick, which i why I am posting this so darned early.
Hopefully you'll get plenty of rest today and recover. This is the wrong thread though, it's October.
