I have a question on Fatboy's and Slim adjustables

    I just picked up these two vintage razors.
    After a shave or storing these adjustables, should you back off the TTO handle
    a quarter of a turn to relax the mechanism or does it matter? Should I just leave it
    like it is...tight with the blade in place?

    Paul,

    Congratulations on the Fatboy and Slim adjustable razors. :) The vintage Gillette adjustable razors are my favorites and are fine old hardware. For me, I leave them as is and only open when I change the blade and have never encountered any problems. I keep them clean and squirt a drop of WD40 into the TTO and adjusting mechanisms occasionally.

    RaZorBurn123 waiting hardily...............

    I back my razor off from the quarter turn. Also when adjusting the settings loosen the silo doors. Happy Shaving!
