Ikon OC and SB is on massdrop, so I'm thinking about getting one. Anyone have experience with them? The heads have a teflon coating. I'm not sure if I like that, but I'm wondering how they shave. Are they aggressive? Do you have to adjust the blade or does it do a good job lining it up?
Yes they are aggressive, at least the open comb is... As for the blade, it lines up nicely. There's a few threads on here from a couple years back that exhaustively review the Ikons. If I remember correctly, there were some issues with the coating on early batches.
I have the dual comb OSS with a satin type finish that I dont use anymore but I would say it falls closer to the Weber side for sure and not that close to the AS-D2.
