Congratulations and welcome to the club. Two of our three children are adopted. They all are a blessing, however, I must warn you that daughters can turn the toughest man to jelly.
congrats.. and don't worry. You can still convert many of your friends to the enlightened world of wet shaving. I am sure it is gratifying as well.
I beg to differ with the mainstream opinion here. Women do the shave job too with the same methods and instruments that we men use, just shave different parts of there bodies. When they are ready you can teach them the same methods you use, just got to use the methods on their legs rather than their face. I know of quite a few women who use their father's double edge razor, brush and soap. I know of two who use straight razors to do the job, although they do not use it on the whole job. They often shave where they can't see, which is not a good thing with a straight. So don't say you will never get to teach the shave job, you adopted daughters will need to learn the technique as well and use the same hardware that you use.
Yes, but most girls will be more comfortable with their mother teaching them how to shave. I know I would never have asked my father.
Ya, by the time they need or want to shave, Dad is pretty out of the picture for grooming related stuff. Usually they're telling their dad what to do.
I laid out the box of razors on the kitchen table last night to show my daughter. I gave her a brief history on some of them and compared how old they were to some of the people she knew. My wife thought one of the razors looked like what her father had at one time. My daughter was fascinated playing with them. She is eyeing the Gillette Blue Star.
