My pop ran a small comb through it to lift the desired length he wanted to trim off and took small scissors to it.

 

I trimmed the tips of mine this week, but am trying to grow the rest of it out more. I just combed it straight down, and cut them with sissors.

 

Positively rakish! * clappity *

 

May I suggest combing it straight down and taking off an equal length across the stache.
