1. Not recently, in my mind I pictured you with high walls with a flat top kinda look 1950 circa.
  2. I can no longer resist.....I am completely clean shaven these days and loving it....But when in my 20's I was definitely one of you brothers of the stache....
    THROWBACK TUESDAY:
This is a band picture of the "Spiral Staircase" takem in like 1980....I'm lower right with cigarette and cocktail. This was taken at the Frenchman's Reef in St. Thomas. We were playing there while they filmed the opening show of Charlie's Angels there that year....

  3. Now that's a stache!
  4. Waitdaminute... you were in Spiral Staircase? As in "Love you more today than yesterday"? Finally, I know someone famous.

  5. Ha,ha...Guilty...Please forgive the stage attire...lol!..I was a Jazz trumpet player who would do tours with many Pop bands to make bread....quit, come home and play Jazz til I had spent all the money I had made, and then go back out on tour or record some sessions with another Pop band...lol....I did quite a few of those type bands, but no matter how hip the band was....those horn parts were always exactly the SAME night after night...After 3 nights you were ready to chew through your wrist! Jazz was the reason for learning how to play...

So I kept that cycle up til, the synthsizer put an end to pop bands actually having a real live trumpet player on stage....Thats when I decided to only do Jazz gigs from then on....Funny, but almost always....the better the music, the lower the bread factor and the worse the music, the bread would sometimes be unbelievable....I am glad the synth removed the temptation.....lol!

  6. Wow.. very cool! FWIW... I've always enjoyed the '60s/early '70s songs that included a brass section. It's definitely missing from later music. :(

    I think it's week 14? I'll have to check.

The left curl is so natural it looks awesome. I'm struggling with the right curl. It's not wanting to train.

  14. Oh yeah there isn't much help for this sort of thing. Just grow it and don't trim, brush it to train it... Eventually you'll either have an epic stache or something that looks horrible. You never know until you try.
  15. I do try every Movember :ashamed001: ...

You think I may be able to try some Dirigo Blue? I'm not liking the smell of the firehouse. Almost like it has birch tar in it.

  19. Firehouse wacky tacky in full effect.

Just ordered some Wild Bills Soft and Stiff waxes. Soft for the body and stiff for the ends. I'm finding that using such a stiff wax in the main body of the stache isn't to my liking. A softer wax to keep it groomed down but not feeling like concrete is best for me.
