I love all of the Stirling Soaps I have used. Ozark Mountain Lemony Orange Barbershop Executive Man Sterling Man Margaritas in the Arctic (MITA)
I only have MITA but I love it. The menthol deadens my face too much for straight razors so I haven't used it in a little bit.
I have used most of them. The three I keep on hand are: Margaritas in the Arctic, Ozark Mountain, Executive Man.
Executive man takes the top spot for me, but I've yet to encounter a Stirling soap that I don't love.
Besides 2 creams and a soap I received from a good friend all I use is Stirling (hey when you find something that for me is perfect in everything I want from a shaving soap why not?) and if I had to pick a favorite...... I couldn't.. As I mentioned in another post my favorite changes every day a different scent comes into my rotation however I do get more excited when I use a Glacial as I am a menthol junkie
That's an easy one. Not a fan—I do, however, like both the scent and menthol of the Glacial Obsidian.
I haven't tried the Glacial Obsidian, one day. If you're a menthol junkie, try Yeti Snot, it's pretty chilly. I usually finish my menthol shave with Frost Snake Bite aftershave, with a dozen menthol crystals added to the bottle, brrrrrrrr. Also, about six drops of glycerin to the bottle, to moisturize the face.
I keep finding Ozark Mtn, MITA and Coniferous making appearances in my SOTDs. I love that they give the option to order the sample pucks. I picked up a few of their tins and grab news samples as I use them up.
I have Glacial Obsidian and love it!!! I have used Yeti Snot before and (YMMV) I was not impressed. I had a tough time getting it to lather and did not like the skin care it gave (again YMMV)and although not the coldest I have tried I did enjoy the icy blast it gave. Snake Bite is on my wish list as I heard it is awesome
I think Stirling has some solid soaps. I've been using Frozen Tundra pretty much exclusively for the last 2-3 months, and the post-shave on it is very good. I used to get some itchiness from Stirling, but that's stopped now. Not quite sure why, but my face may have just acclimatized to it (I'm fairly certain I have a sensitivity to Almond Oil). For me, on a Poor-Excellent scale I would put Stirling in the Very Good category. Scents wise: Frozen Tundra Executive Man Glacial-Wintergreen was a nice face freezer too.
Executive Man...I have been ruined though since my first Saponificio Varesino purchase..Its hard to use any other soap/cream now
I ordered some things from them yesterday, a soap, aftershave balm and the synthetic brush on which I heard a lot of good things.
Stirling makes great products. Some of my favorite soap scents are: MITA, British Leather, Glastonbury, Aqua DGO, and SDM.
The latest Stirling shave soap I have tried, is the Stirling Spice. It's spicy, but it doesn't remind me of Shulton Old Spice, as I have been told, by others. It does lather easily, and provides a typical Stirling slick lather.
