It hasn't been around for a while, and maybe the interest just wasn't there, but if @ezlovan sees this, "Lemony Orange was the greatest straight up citrus scent ever!!!" I have about a half a puck left, and it is almost a treat soap for me. It isn't mentholated of course, but I bowl lather it, and then M-Bomb the living Hell out of it. I do the same thing with the Limes too. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
that is the only scent I have tried that I dont like...I have been using the iced pineapple and its another great one, if you are a pineapple fan (like me) then you will love it
It is so on the list to try, but I just have too damn many. When I was placing my last order, it pretty much came down to a coin toss between the pineapple and coconut lime. Lime won. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I received my lemon chill and orange chill today, decided to take lemon for a lather first. I have used soaps and creams with a cooling kick previously and when the lemon chill hit my face the game was taken to a whole new level. All I can say is WOW!! Felt like my face was in the freezer. I am not sure where it falls on the scale for those of you who are menthol junkies, but I was impressed. Besides the great face freeze, it lathered well and was very slick. I got a great BBS shave with no burn, but a little frostbite.
Well orange chill has changed my shaving life. Rod has created a monster. I just ordered mita and iced pineapple.
I wonder how the late Jack Palance would have handled that in a commercial. He opens the Skin Bracer one with "I don't need some fancy perfume to tell me I'm a man".
As far as my skin can tell, all the Glacial soaps have the same killer-cold menthol sensation. In fact, Rod turned these soaps so cold that they now match the mighty Cryogen in terms of menthol power. He could not add any more menthol to the formula because to do so would have drowned out the scents but he changed his production method since last year and that also helped improve the lathering ability. These Glacials used to be quite finicky but now they are so easy to lather.
I'm excited to toss in a sample of Almond Creme and Island Man after going through these recent posts. Also going to pick up the Glacial Lemon soap, and am trying to decide between getting the matching aftershave, or grabbing a bottle of Grapefruit and having them add menthol to it. Hmmm.
Excellent choices, you won't be disappointed. I have a bottle of the grapefruit that I juiced up with menthol, and it is absolutely fantastic!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
There's really a limit to how much menthol can be used in a soap. Too much and it'll drown out the scent, or it just won't go through the saponification process. Rod's Glacials are at the absolute maximum amount but they still have their beautiful scents.
