I agree with you completely on this, and I would offer up Cryogen as an example. As much as I like CF soaps, Cryogen, at least in the tub I got, was a muddy mess. It was as if the soap was broken, it would not lather, just thickened and pooled. The scent reminded me so much of being a little kid, sick and locked in a room with one of those vicks vaporizer running, and really nothing else. YMMV.. Yes, Cryogen gets colder than the Glacials, but the Glacials also actually function as enjoyable soap: lather, scent and Freaking Face Freeze!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I think I find now the Glacials have caught up to the Cryogen's menthol power because of Rod's superior manufacturing ability. Even though the Glacials use just a slightly less menthol amount they now feel just as cold (to me) as the Cryogen as a result of Rod's small tweaks he made in his formulas. He told me personally that he was not able to add any more menthol to the soaps without snuffing out the scents, however he was able to add the ingredients in a different fashion. This also ended the lathering issues which the Glacials used to have and made them perform a million times better. The Cryogen I had performed well but to lather it was difficult, not to mention that the menthol amount did not fascinate me one bit. In addition to that I find the Cryogen lacks the most important which is skincare.
Enjoyed orange chill so much i had to order 2 more stirling menthols. Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
Robert, my computer wasn't connected to the internet all day-just got it back. Lots of catching up to d now .
You'd be surprised how willing I'd be to read it. But I don't doubt typing it would be an undertaking!
I really like it. It reminds me of pineapple candy scent vs fresh cut pineapple. I have 3 stirling menthols and my favorite by far is orange chill.
Agree Rod's customer service #1. I've had no problems lathering any of his soaps. Sharp Dressed Man 10 Bay Rum 6 Gin & Tonic 8 Barbershop 8 Ben Franklin 6.5 Sandlewood 5 I like there AS balm- in the new dispensors: S.D. Man, G & T and Barbershop. Also bath soaps. S.D. Man and Barbershop.
I couldn't take it anymore, and had to order the pineapple. I was going to be done for the season, but what can one more hurt? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I enjoyed another face-freezer of a shave this morning with the Glacial Eskimo Tuxedo soap. As I've stated many times in the past, to this day I cannot believe how easy these Glacials are to lather now. Within 20 seconds my Plissoft had more than enough rich, slick lather on it for a five pass shave!
All of my glacial and mentholated soaps are from spring release last year. Are these the current formula, or has it since been revised? I have more tubs on the way, so I am stoked! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
To me, it's a toss-up between Sharp Dressed Man an d Executive Man. I could be happy with either one. I'm having funny images of going to the gym and working out, with SDM on my face and neck. Yessir, a tee-shirt and shorts..very sharply dressed .
Ive got 12 stirling soaps. All are great but the best in my opinion are. Executive man Orange chill Sharp dressed man Island man
