I'm still freaked out over the Glacial MITA idea! Another thing I wanted to say is that a couple of years ago I suggested a Glacial with a lavender scent but for some reason it didn't sell well. I guess my ideas aren't so great!

I would do the Bergamot Lavender in Glacial, in a heartbeat! If it was more pronounced lavender, meh... I like the scent when it is done right (IMO), but it is not a favorite. Maybe I am remembering too many crappy perfumed examples from my Gramma's house when I was a kid.

Yeah, I did. That pineapple has to be one of the greatest scents ever. Have you ever had de-hydrated pineapple? Not candied, but just dried. Have you ever dried it yourself? Well, that soap smells EXACTLY like a piece of dried pineapple when you take it off the tray: when it is still a little warm and bendy? Oh, Man.

For anyone new to Stirling, and worried about spending the day smelling like a fruit snack, like their others, it rinses away very clean.

The cold level seemed right on par with the other ice/chill soaps. But I swear, I still can't get over how killer that scent is!

The Glacial Lavender smelled great but again, it seemed like it just wouldn't catch on. I know a few guys tried it but for the most part nobody was breaking down Rod's door for it.

If it helps Jeff i think it must have smelled great! One of my favorite colognes has lavender notes and it's oh so lovely...:love029::love055:
Thallium: An aromatic heart of Lavender is interlaced with White Jasmine flowers and enhanced by crisp Apple. Sensual background is emphasized with opulence of Cedarwood and Patchouli where warmth of sweet Amber radiates around Musks.

That stuff looks great! Rod's Lavender smelled a lot like this cologne.

    Check it out - it's really nice! ;) 66709_7ymyuw_lavande_imperiale_720.jpg

I have tried executive man, mountain man, sharp dressed man, island man, Ozark mountain, Scott's pine sheep, port au Prince, sandalwood, MITA, peppermint and sage, and the beeswax formula.

The only one that didn't work for me was the Scott's pine sheep, I had a slight reaction to it for some reason.

As far as the scents go they are all great, executive man is my favorite followed by island man and sandalwood.

The beeswax performs best for me and for some reason the Ozark mountain stands out for performance also. But they are all top notch performers.

I also use Stirling AS, also top notch. I rarely use balms but I have Stirling's as well and again great stuff.

So after reading this thread (especially some of the reviews for Orange Chill) I placed my first Stirling order:

    Orange Chill Shave Soap
AS Balm Sampler: MITA, Sandalwood, Sharp Dressed Man
Bath Soap: Witchy Woman (for my wife)
    Freebie: Unscented pre-shave soap

My thoughts (and I'm really new to this boutique soap thing...been wet shaving for 3 months or so, have Proraso Green & Red, Arko stick, and Colonel Konk Amber):

First the freebie....what a nice touch, and very much appreciated! I am an evening showerer and morning shaver, so believe that my prep has been lacking. The pre-shave soap feels like it's softening up my beard more than just a splash of warm water. Lathers up nicely, washes off clean.

Orange Chill - Very nice scent, smells downright edible! Definitely cooler than the Proraso green (my only other menthol experience) especially on the 2nd and 3rd pass. I have noticed that the soap goes on a little thick, almost like a pasty layer of soap vs. a slick lather. I think I'm over loading my brush. I just saw the YouTubes of the hot water / two swirl lather process....I think I'll try increasing the water and decreasing the soap.

    As to the AS balms:

I know a lot of folks here like MITA but it smelled like cleaning products to me. My wife did not care for the scent either. Add to the PIF Pile.
The Sandalwood was great, and had a more earthy/outdoorsy scent than I expected. I'll be picking up a full size bottle of this, along with some soap.
My wife really liked Sharp Dressed Man, and I liked it OK. I've never been a cologne person, and this definitely smells more like a "traditional" cologne.
All of the balms felt really smooth and moisturizing, and the MITA had a bit of bite.

I'm holding back the Witchy Woman soap for Mother's Day....I'm sure my wife will love it!

Anyway....very glad to have some new products on my shelf, and I look forward to exploring more of what Stirling has to offer!

Rod does an excellent job with his soaps. Just about anyone can find several scents that are appealing. Also, the slickness of his soaps are tops in the business.

Orange chill is awesome. Stirling soaps are thirsty. Try more water. Then it should be slicker then fish guts.

Today I used Orange Chill, but I put a couple teaspoons of hot water on top of the soap and let it sit there while I did the rest of my morning routine. When I was ready to shave I wet my brush and then squeezed/shook most of the water out. I "splayed" it into the soap and swirled it a couple of times, and it picked up all of the moisture off of the surface. I then started to face lather, and.....WOW! There was an *explosion* of lather! It was like some of the "lather porn" I see in picture posted here. I think I was *definitely* over loading my brush and basically smearing soap all over my face.

Now I'm *really* impressed with Stirling soaps!
