I am leaning towards the polished since my Mongoose is satin. Not sure on the handle since I have a custom Hempel and Triad handle, I might just get the head. Even though the handle you've chosen is really cool.

Yeah, I was planning on getting with him! I will soon.

I have seen that listed too but I think the Wolfman is close to the H1 as the H1 was my daily driver til the Wolfman showed up! The Wolfman is way smoother and more efficient in my opinion! :)

I also like the polished versions and picked them! Very nice looking indeed!

Very nice looking razor, the engraving is a nice touch.

Keep us posted on your shaves and how it compares to other razors. How does the OC differ from the SB? A lot of people are saying that are very similar.

@Darkbulb. So I've got a head on order. I'm wondering what handle to get. The heaviest razor I have is a Slim or Aristocrate. I like a length of around 3.3, the size of Heavy Tech or Standard New. I'm not sure if I'd like a 3 inch or 3.5. I do have a Ikon tuckaway that is too short. Think it's like 2.8.

So I was wondering what you think? The Wolfman handles might be too heavy. The Weber bull dog, ATT Kronos or Atlas.

I can get the Aluminum WM's, but they are really light. And would like an all SS razor if I'm putting out this much for one.

Well, good thing about Wolfman is that he is willing to custom make your order. I know one guy who likes his handles a bit longer or instance and ordered the WRH7 in 10cms - so I'd get with James if I were you and see what he could do/recommend :)

My Wolfman razor apparently arrived to the post office here in SF this morning so I'm hoping to have it delivered tomorrow :)

I'm kind of surprised your not at the post office asking for it!! Haha

Thanks. I'll email him again and see what he says. I'll let you know if he does some kind of special order for me.
Now that would be cool.... A special Cap Wolfman. The WMCR-OC7
    Ha :)

It might be worth also asking him if he has any other razor handle designs that are not on the homepage. I think the WRH7 is still not up there - and he mentioned he has a few others he is finishing up.

Yeah, think someone else mentioned he has shorter ones on the design board.

He is also very willing to send photos of what he has got/is working on so you can ask him if he can do that.
(Poor James, I know he has read this thread as we've emailed about it - and now he's seeing me create all this extra work for him) :D

Beautiful razor! James emailed me last week about mine! Please post up how the aggression is as we had also talked about upping the aggression on mine. I'd like to get mine similar to the r2 or so. Btw mine will b the open comb model if that matters. That's a beautiful razor btw!

    Which handle are you getting?

I've been looking at the Wolfman as well and I also like shorter handles. The shortest handle I've seen of his is the WRH6. It's in the surplus section.

Well originally when I first spoke to James I was going to get the 1 or 2. I like the 1 as the weber wave handle is great I think and this looks a lot like it. I tend to prefer heavier handles. But seeing as I keep seeing other handles I'm guessing I'll pick at the last minute! I do have several other stainless handles so if I don't like what I get I can find one that pairs well with the head so I'm not terribly worried. I'm really excited to try the razor tho. I originally spoke to James in early January about a razor but wanted to wait to read some reviews before pulling the trigger. Now that I'm certain of the quality it needs to b here!

I talked to him about getting a lighter one and he said the WRH7 is 3.57 in length and around 75 grams. That's the one in probably going to get. :)

If you want a really light one I believe he can also make any handle in aluminum.

Yeah, he gave me the specs and that would brig the weight down to 32 grams. I think that would be too light and make the razor head heavy.
I don't own a SS, so really don't know if I'd like it real heavy or not.
But when I saw your razor and that handle... I knew that would be the one. A great looking handle. The wife even gave a thumbs up on it!! Haha.

I'd describe the 'feel'/weight of the razor as 'solid' - not overly heavy. If anything it oozes of quality.
James' machine skills are very, very impressive. I literally, and this is going to sound real dumb, sat with 3-4 stainless steel razors in front of me this week and disassembled and re-assembled them, screwing on the heads - and the Wolfman razor was the clear winner in fit and smoothness. Heck, it even beat my Tradere....

Now I'm curious as to what WRH8 is going to look like :D

I know. He told me I can make the final decision when he emails me. So hopefully he'll have the 8 out by then. I've been constantly reading yours and everyone else's opinions and thoughts. In thinking that the regular will be good for me. My idea shave is a Gillette New or the Slim set on a 5. He said that's about right. But I read in an earlier post you said people were saying something different. That its milder than a 5 or that its more aggressive than a 5?
