Injector and SE Shaves

Razor : Star bar #4 Lather catcher model- Mfg 1929-30, tame mid range, well built for that era & with some care will last generations, With a new Gem PTFE blade this razor will give any razor I own a run for performance results at end of shave IMO. Very enjoyable shave this morning.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE (1) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Razorock The Dead Sea- very unique scent that is addictive to myself + excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Mountain lake" 24mm 2band badger, excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, excellent splay scrubber, great lather painter. Nice handle in the hand to use with a very good knot.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock The Dead sea with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + 1 blemish weeper= Excellent shave this morning with my Star bar #4 with a coated Gem blade.

Am trying to reduce my facial dryness by shaving more regularly, which means during the process I have a good pre wash with a glycerine soap and only use Shaving soaps which I kmow leave the skin soft after the Shave. A very comfortable Shave today not too close a finish but face left feeling refreshed.

Razor : Yaqi Katana with retracting handle- 2019>, takes 1/2 DE blades, interesting razor, I like to bump blade with a paper blade tuck to make sure it is seated Before tightening. Great close shave this morning!
Blade : Gillette Astra SP, 1/2 blade SP(2) sharp & smooth.
Soap : Mitchell's wool fat- light scent with good lather qualities. Makes great ubber lather also.
Brush : Yaqi "Artic sky " 24mm silver tip badger, excellent lather generator, heavenly pillow like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + great lather painter. I like this handle to hold brush and knot is excellent IMO.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Fine fresh Vetiver with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my my Yaqi Katana razor with a Gillette Astra SP blade.

Razor : Yaqi Excalibur 50mm AC style + Milano polished 316 handle - Mfg 2021>, tame mid range, small head parts, simple clamping blade design. I get stellar shaves with this affordable razor 95%> of the time.
Blade : Schick proline P30, 50mm- sharp & smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Razorock Lavender, nice masculine scent with some of the best lather qualities of any soap I have used.
Brush : Yaqi "Purple haze" 24mm synthetic knot, excellent lather generator, heavenly cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ach Brito Lavada with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my Yaqi Excalibur with a Schick proline p30 blade.

The ARKO Shaving Cream lathered well with Tom's Brush B-3 Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Supply SE Injector Razor and the Supply Black Label Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Razor : Gillette New long comb- Mfg 1930's, mid range, great classic razor, some tab overhang, built to last generations.
Blade : Gillette Perma-sharp (6) sharp & smooth with great longevity. Top tier blade IMO.
Soap : Cyril R Salter Indian Sandalwood- nice herbal scented cream + excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "orbital ring"24mm boar bristle, excellent lather generator, soft split end bristles, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ogallala Bayrum & Sandal wood + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my Gillette New long comb with a Gillette Perm-sharp blade.

Razor : Schick E2 injector, Canadian Variant- Mfg 1930's 40's, mid range, 1 OZ weight, easy razor to work the face.
Blade : Personna SS PTFE (3) Very sharp, Great longevity, smooths out nicely over uses + predictable.
Soap : Cyril R Salter Indian Sandal wood, very nice herbal scented cream with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Black marble" 24mm silvertip badger, excellent lather generator, heavenly pillow like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ogallala Bayrum with sandal wood + a dollop of Geo F Trumper Sandalwood skin food lotion.
Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + 2 tiny blemish weepers= Excellent shave with my Schick E2 injector with a Personna blade.

The Tea Tree Body Bar lathered well with the Semogue Owners Club boar brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Schick Band-Razor and the Schick Band Blade didn't seem to make a lick of difference. So, I reached for my SlimGem Schick 3d razor, and it gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed... I will be ditching the Schick Band-Razor for Roger's Schick-type razor for the rest of the week.

 

Paradigm Titanium SE, Grooming Dept shave soap and preshave. Nivea after shave balm to finish.

Razor : Micromatic flying wing(AKA= MMBT, MMFW, Guiding eye...)- Manufactured 1947-50, nice tame mid range, well built to last many generations with a little care. Excellent shave this morning.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(2) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Razorock Santa Maria del Fiore, very nice scent of Vanilla and light tobacco with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi " Moka Express" 24mm synthetic, excellent lather generator, heavenly cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock Santa Maria del Fiore with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my MMBT with a coated Gem blade.
