My first SE Shave for a few days as I have been testing a Vintage Cart as a Travel Razor. Though today’s Shave was OK I think the blade was not at its best.

Thank you. My son broke the cross hairs on the scope on his pellet gun. He wanted to see what they felt like. I told him he had to buy a new one with his own money and I would use the parts from the broken one. This is the result. I made an acrylic plug to replace the lens and glued it in.

 

I'm finally getting around to posting Tuesday's shave. It was the TARMAX INJECTOR with a Schick Proline B20. What a great shave. All three TARMAX Razors a fantastic but I think the Injector is my favorite by a hair, especially since it works with a Proline B20.

 

I like it when people use other objects for brush handles. I made a few using flashlights.

Razor : Ever-Ready, British 1912 model- Mfg 1936-53, tame mid range, excellent Mfg razor with excellent finish QC, this razor sold millions over the decades of production both in USA & Great Britain because it was just that good. Used a modern Gem SS PTFE blade and it works better than was offered back in the that era of shaving. Also used a RIGS shim to mimic the tilt of the older blades at that time period.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE (3) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Gillette Pure cream, nice clean unique scent with excellent lather qualities. Makes excellent Ubber lather also.
Brush : Yaqi "Casino clubs" 26mm timer wolf knot, excellent lather generator, heavenly luxury cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. One of my favorite brushes to use.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock Irish Countryside AS with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent stellar close shave this morning with my Ever-ready 1912 model with a coated Gem blade.(It don't get much better when shaving + no irritation!)

Today's shave was the third shave with the TARMAX Injector and the second using a Schick Proline B20 in it. It was a great shave but sadly will be my last with the TARMAX razors since it is time to send them back to Tom. My next shave will be with a very special razor though so I won't be crying for very long.

 

I might have seen those before but I love to see them again.

 

Both from the same flashlight. 24mm and 26mm synthetics. I have another one in which the handle extends a bit if needed. But forgot where it is...........

The Start Shaving Cream lathered well with the Jayaruh #224 Synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the 1907 Gem Jr. Lather Catcher and a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Dickinson's Witch Hazel and Pinaud Citrus Musk EDC. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Sunday injector blade Shave, April 2nd 2023

Razor : Yaqi SE Excalibur, 50mm AC blade type, Mfg 2021>, tame mid range. Simple clamping system, seems well built the Excalibur chrome head, small head parts to assemble(work over a wash cloth).
Performance is excellent for 95%>of the time I find. Pairs well with a Schick proline P20 or P30 50mm blades. Had a excellent shave this morning.
Blade : Schick Proline P30(6) sharp & smooth with reasonable longevity. Pairs well with my Excalibur razor.
Soap : Tabac, flowery clean type of scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Atlantis" 24mm synthetic, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice splay scrubber, excellent lather painter. This brush is similar to my Yaqi Silvertip badger brushes when it comes to face feel.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock XXX AS with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my Yaqi Excalibur with a Schick proline P30 blade. Very enjoyable, carefree mostly shave this morning.

The TSD Iced Lemongrass Shaving Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #371 Badger/Boar brush. Two passes and touch ups with the GEM Damaskeene and a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Dickinson's Witch Hazel and Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
