MMMonday, ASRazor shave, Aug 9th 2021

Razor: Everready 1914(AKA LLC) - Mfg 1914-17excellent mid range, great audio feedback, always great results with the 1914.
Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE(9) great blade, very Sharp with great longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable.
Soap: Razorock Santa Marie del Fiore, nice mild tobacco vanilla scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi Cola 22mm, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice scrub, great lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush washed whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: Razorock Santa Marie Fiore AS with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea with HA.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = excellent shave with my ER 1914(LLC) with a coated Gem Blade.

Razor: Gem Micromatic OC buttonless- Mfg 1930-32 for the buttonless model, excellent mid range, I like to use this razor when blade count gets higher because it is more aggressive & efficient IMO.
Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE(10) excellent blade, very sharp, smooths out nicely+ predictable.
Soap: Ach Brito Lavada- very nice cream with great lather qualities, been in soap business for many decades.
Brush: Yaqi Dandelion 24mm Cashmere knot, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, gentle scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave : brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups.
Post shave: Arch Brito Lavanda Aftershave with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm + HA
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + not weepers= excellent shave with my MMOC button less + a coated Gem.

For those of you who find this Razor a bit of a handful, I recommend this Kai guarded blade. This is my 3rd outing with it so far, it delivers a smooth trouble free Shave, the guarded element does not prevent one getting an ultra close all round finish. Far superior IMHO to the Feather Guard - but there is price differential. I have been waivering about making a purchase direct from Japan.

good day gents.post office pick up today from jolly old england.
the short handle set arrived,minus the strop.
beautiful condition.had an oiled valet blade in it.
loaded the twice used feather in it and went to town.
lovely citrus lather built with the mighty simpson best badger,
took my time and did a smooth 2 passer in the usual manner.
matching splash to finish.
awesome.

these razors were quite common in england before the war.
happy to be the proud owner of a near pristine almost complete set.
now to find an unused brit strop..




with the others,uncased brit vc 3 and canadian reg handle vc3 set in gold.
