Two passes and touch ups with the 1902 Kampfe Brothers/Star Lather Catcher Razor and a Star Wedge Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. Sunday Schick Shave, June 18th 2023

Razor : Schick adjustable injector Model#3(AKA=M3)- Mfg 1970-72, well built and the design is very user friendly. I find #3 setting about right and #4 setting for pickup pass. With a little care this razor will last more generations and is fast to shave with IMO once your comfortable with it.
Blade : Personna SS PTFE (7) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable.
Soap : Cyril R Salter Wild Rose cream, very nice rose scent 6-7/10 for strength with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi " Mysterious space" 24mm 3band silvertip badger, excellent lather generator, heavenly pillow like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Italian barber Amici AS with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my Schick M3 injector with a coated Personna injector blade.

Shave 29-22 with the Bunny V2.2 and a Personna 74 was nice and smooth.

 

MMMonday, June 19th, 2023. MicroMatic Monday, any ASR that uses a Gem blade + any day of the week is welcomed.


Razor : Micromatic OC, Bump less variant from 1930-32 - Micromatic OC variants Mfg from 1930-41, mid range, built to last with a little care, Bump less models where usually not coated from my limited observance. I like to use a RIGS shim underneath the modern aluminium spine to smooth out the shave because older blades in the 1930's had thicker spines then. Had a excellent close shave this morning with this beautiful patinaed MicroMatic razor.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(6) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Razorock XXX , nice clean unique scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Atlantis" 24mm G4 synthetic, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, excellent splay scrubber + great lather painter. Closest synthetic knot I own that comes close to the feel of a 2band badgers I enjoy IMO.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock XXX with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my MMOC bump less with a coated Gem blade. Very nice shave this morning, not 100% perfect but the way I like it and my skin enjoys it also for a very close comfortable shave.

Today's shave went exceptionally well. The Bunny V2.2 is an incredible razor and today's shave marked 31 consecutive shaves and 24 with the Personna 74 loaded. I used my new Captains choice copper bowl for the first time and I love it. It's a perfect fit in my hand. Zingari man's Mousse Illuminee is a great lathering wonderful smelling soap. And the copper handled Zenith boar was an easy choice for this shave.

SE SOTD, Friday June 23rd 2023

Razor : Yaqi Excalibur SE 50mm AC type with a Yaqi Milano SS polished handle-Mfg 2021>, tame mid range, simple blade clamping system + small head parts(I work over a wash cloth when assembling). I mostly receive great shaves 95% of the time with a Schick proline blade combination. Had a very nice close shave this morning.
Blade : Schick proline p 30(4), sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Razorock American barber, distinct sharp loud powdery scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Bali" 24mm 3band silvertip badger, excellent lather generator, luxury pillow like soft tips, nice feeling splay scrubber + great lather painter. Interesting brush with is large bloomed HD knot with a bee hive type handle, great brush.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock American barber AS with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= excellent shave with no issues with my Yaqi SE Excalibur 50mm with a Schick proline blade.
