SE SOTD, Friday, July 21st 2023

Razor : Yaqi Excalibur 50mm AC type- Mfg 2021> tame mid range, simple blade clamping, small head parts( assemble over a wash cloth). This little razor is one of my favorites in my large SE razor collection. Performance is stellar 95%> of the time.
Had a close shave with no issues this morning.
Blade : Schick Proline (2) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Razorock Lavender, nice scented soap of lavender with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi " Purple haze" 24mm synthetic knot, excellent lather generator, heavenly cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock King Louis Lavender with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless)
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a excellent stellar shave this morning with no issues + a Schick proline coated blade. Very happy results this morning!

A few Shaves in with The Asylum on loan, I do like it’s looks and also it’s weight when shaving. However, I am not convinced that it actually delivers a better finish than I get with a PAL Injectomatic or my Canadian Schick E2 .

The shave was magical. The 3d razor is a perfect travel instrument. The new Schick Swede blade swished through 2 days stubble with ease. Ably aided by the excellent Speick vegan Stick.

I am still using The Asylum that I have on loan.Have it now fitted with a Chinese Schick, a blade I do not use a lot as I only have a few. I found the blade to work very well in The Asylum, and I had a most pleasant Shave with me set up for a day out.

Razor : Gem Push button theme, Mfg 1958-65, mild to tame mid range, interesting razor inspired by that time period when cars had push button transmissions instead of shifters and appliances had lots of push button speeds and start mechanisms. This is one of my favorite razors for appearance for the Gem line(gold & black) and a fine shaver also. Had a excellent shave this morning.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(4) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Ogallala Bayrum & sandal wood, nice Bayrum scent with excellent lather qualities. I like the sandalwood soap the best.
Brush : Yaqi "Casino clubs" 26mm timber wolf synthetic knot, excellent lather generator, luxury cloud like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. Interesting handle with a excellent knot.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ogallala Bayrum & sandalwood + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my Gem Pushbutton with a coated Gem blade.
