The La Toja Shave Stick lathered well with Jayaruh #292 High Mtn White badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Superior Lather Catcher Razor and a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Dickinson's Witch Hazel and then Aqua Velva 5 in 1 ASB. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

Sunday Schick Shave September 17th 2023

Razor : Schick J1 type injector- Mfg 1957-64, mild to tame mid range. Well designed and manufactured to last for generations. Had a close and comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Personna SS PTFE (7) sharp and smooth with excellent longevity.
Soap : Tacbac- flowery clean scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Orbital ring" 24mm boar bristle. Excellent lather generator, soft split end boar bristle ends, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Pinaud Clubman with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers=Had a excellent close shave this morning with a Personna coated injector blade.

This week I am using my J.A. Henckels with a newly sharpened wedge (Sharpened by Tom White). This is also the first time I have used this new brush. The Fine Snake Bite Shave Soap lathered well with Jayaruh #446 Badger/Boar brush. I stropped the blade really good. Two passes and touch ups with the J.A. Henckels Rapide Razor and a J.A. Henckels wedge blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Dickinson's Witch Hazel and then Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Razor : Gem Clog Pruf (Peerless, SB=17 nubs model)- Mfg 1945, mid range. Excellent design to last generations. All brass construction and reasonably smooth shaving. Had a excellent shave this morning.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE (6) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Gillette pure cream, nice clean scent with some of the best lather qualities a person needs. Make excellent ubber lather also.
Brush : Yaqi " lucky dice" 26mm tuxedo synthetic knot, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, great splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Pinaud Clubman with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers=excellent shave with my Gem Clog Pruf (Peerless model) with a Gem coated blade.
