MMMonday + daily double , November 27 2023 Razor : (L) Ever-Ready Streamline SE, 2nd generation , Mfg 1949-53, mid upper range. well made to last generations, this razor seems to like a slight Steep angle & a RIGS shim to smooth it out. Razor : (R)Yaqi Romulus 316 SSP with a Yaqi Chippendale SSP handle 4th use, Mfg 2023>, mild to tame mid range. The razor will give a BBS with it even being on the milder side. Had a close comfortable shave this morning. Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE blade (9) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle. Blade : Schick Proline p30 (2)- sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity. One of favorite AC type blades Soap :Speick stick- nice mild spicy scented soap with excellent lather qualities. SE daily double shave, Tuesday, November 28th 2023 Razor (L) : Yaqi "Excalibur" chromed SE AC with a Yaqi Milano 316 SSP handle- Mfg 2021>, mild to tame mid range. Simple clamping system, small head parts(work on wash cloth to assemble). This little razor performs very well and is forgiving. I have used it about 100 + times over the last 2 years and it works well 95%> of the time for close comfortable shaves. Hade a close comfortable shave this morning. One of my favorite razors in SE . Razor (R) : Yaqi " Romulus" 316SSP with a Yaqi Chippendale 316 SSP handle (5th shave)- Mfg 2023>, mild range. Well made and machining and finish QC are spot on. When shaving it feels non threatening & feels very nimble, tactile + forgiving in the hand when shaving. Small head parts when assembling work best on wash cloth, slightly easier to assemble than the Excalibur IMO. It is slightly less aggressive then my beloved Excalibur but results can be very similar and a enjoyable a shave IMO. Excellent daily driver for folks who have to shave for work or enjoy daily shaving. Had a close comfortable shave this morning. Blade (L razor) : Schick proline (3) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity. I enjoy using this blade in the Excalibur. Blade (R razor) : Schick proline (1) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity. Works well in the Romulus also. Soap : Speick Stick, nice mild spicy scent with excellent lather qualities. Great hard soap that is hard to beat for skin protection! Brush : Yaqi "Red Zebra" 26mm snow leopard syntenic knot. Excellent lather generator, luxury heavenly cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. One of my favorite brushes in 26mm synthetic's. SE SOTD, Wednesday, November 29th 2023. After 6 consecutive daily shaves, I finished my testing and evaluation of my Yaqi Romulus SE AC type razor, now I will just enjoy my regular shaving routine. I like doing this simple evaluation on any new or used razor I have purchased over the last 5-6 years it seems. Razor : Yaqi Romulus 316SSP with a Yaqi Chippendale handle- Mfg 2023>, mild range. The razor performs reasonable well for folks who like a mild shave. Machining and finish are top notch QC, the razor is forgiving, tactical and a carefree shave mostly with a Feather professional or Schick proline blade. Small head parts when assembling are easier done when placing it on a wash cloth for installing and removing blade later I would suggest. (prevents scratching of parts also if that matters to a person.) If a person wants a closer shave use the Feather professional super blades for a little more blade feel or blade exposure + closer shaves(some fellows have mentioned using them already with good closer results).Feather pro and Feather super professional blades are close in pricing also I have minimally researched. If your in a hurry to get to work or need a quick shave (wide 50mm blade) this is just as fast or almost as any cartridge razor I have used and with better skin care IMO. (after 6 consecutive daily shaves my beard area showed no or very minimal skin irritations if any IMO with DFS++ range shaves + some shaves I alum tested with not much at all for stings). The razor glides well & is very enjoyable to manipulate under the nose area, chin area + also very forgiving on neck irritations IMO. I bought this razor on sale and it was worth it when on Black Friday sale IMO + Romulus handle 316 SSP works OK but has no hole in bottom for my Yaqi stand and I had the Chippendale handle already I bought on a Yaqi live sale months ago so I use it + I enjoy using the Chippendale handle also. The Chippendale 316 SSP handle looks great (similar to Darwin razor handles) and is lighter than most Titanium razor handles at 43 grams for a total weight of head and handle of 60 grams on my kitchen scale if that matters to a fellow. Had another close comfortable shaves this morning also. Blade : Schick proline(4) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity. Soap : La Toja stick, mild scented soap with excellent lather qualities. Brush : Yaqi "Ferrari" 24mm bleached boar bristle knot. Excellent lather generator, soft split end hair tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter. Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area. Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups. Post shave : Proraso green with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless). Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Romulus 316 SSP with a Schick proline blade. Had a easy going shave this morning. Have some great shaves!

SE SOTD, Friday, December 1st 2023 Razor : Yaqi Romulus 316 SSP 50mm SE with a Yaqi Chippendale 316 SSP handle- Mfg 2023>, mild to tame mid range. Very small head parts making it one of the most nimble razors I have owned( smaller head then most disposable razors). I find changing blades easier with the Romulus then my Yaqi Excalibur IMO. Working on a wash cloth makes it easier to place blade or remove blades + less chance of dropping or scratching IMO. Had a close & comfortable shave this morning. Blade : Schick proline - sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity for a AC blade. Soap : Ogallala Bayrum sage & cedarwood. nice Bayrum clove scented soap with great lather qualities after applied to wet face, when bowl lathering the lather is pastier and bubblier it seems from photo image. Brush : Yaqi " Cavern lake" 24mm Tuxedo synthetic knot. Excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
