Two passes and touch ups with the 1907 Gem Jr. Lather Catcher Razor and a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. SE Sunday shave, January 28th 2024

Razor : Yaqi SE Excalibur with a Yaqi Milano 316 SSP- Mfg 2021>, mild to tame mid range. Small head parts make it interesting to assemble, I assemble on a wash seems to be safest. Simple clamping system make for a great secure blade. One of my favorite SE razors.
Blade : Schick proline(2) sharp and smooth + reasonable longevity.
Soap : Ogallala Bayrum sage and cedar, nice Bayrum scent with great lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Mountain lake" 24mm 2band badger. Excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter. One of my better badgers that I enjoy + great handle.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ogallala Bayrum + Saddle wood splash some clove scent + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Excalibur with a Schick proline blade.

Yesterday's shave went exceptionally well. It's not much of a surprise since my Henkels Rapide is a wonderful shaver and this Wester Bro's looks extremely similar. I wouldn't be surprised if they were actually made by the same company and just rebranded. It held the modern Gem blade with no issues with no need for any shims or adapters. I'm so glad I was able to save it. I really wasn't sure I'd be able to with how badly some of the teeth were bent.

ASRazor shave (MMMonday), Jan 29th 2024

Razor : Star bar #4, Lather catcher- Mfg 1919-20, mild to tame mid range. Excellent designed razor for its time era and great results it gives. For a razor over 100 years old it performs well with a fresh blade 1-3 uses(I like to brag about this razor!) and it will give any razor ever made a run for its money IMO. Audio feedback is excellent for folks who enjoy scrapping toast feedback when shaving! Had stellar close comfortable shave this morning.(It does not get much better a shave for myself IMO.)
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(1) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Ogallala Bayrum + sandalwood, nice Bayrum scent and the sandalwood does something to sweeten the scent over time to me it seems + great lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Panda" 24mm Tuxedo knot. Excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ogallala Bayrum & sandalwood + a dollop of Geo F Trumper skin food.
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a stellar close comfortable shave this morning with my Star bar #4 with a fresh coated Gem blade. It does not get much better shaving then this!

Razor : Schick E2 injector Canadian variant- Mfg 1930's-40's, mid range. Excellent design and affordable. I bought this one a antique thrift store and was in rough shave, turned out to be one of my favorite Schick injectors after repaired. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Personna injector(7) sharp and smooth with excellent longevity.
Soap : Ach Brito Lavanda, nice mild lavender with a touch of mint possibly + excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi " Dandelion" 24mm Cashmere knot. Excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ach Brito Lavanda with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Schick E2 injector with a Personna injector blade.

Razor : Yaqi Romulus 316SSP head on a Yaqi Chippendale 316 SSP- Excellent machining and finish QC for my shaving needs. Small head parts make me assemble blade on a wash cloth just in case I drop a part. The Romulus razor does have some positive blade exposure but if a person wants a little more blade feel use a Feather pro super or shim it .006 works excellent also. I had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Kai Captain Titian mild(3) sharp and smoooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Ach Brito Lavanda cream, nice milder scented lavender with a touch of mint possibly with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Ferrari " 24mm boar bristle knot. Excellent lather generator, soft split end bristle hairs, nice scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ach Brito Lavanda cologne splash with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Romulus SE with a Kai captain titian mild.
