The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #217 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gem G-bar SE Razor and a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Duru Cologne. SE SOTD, Friday, February 9th 2024

Razor : Yaqi Romulus SE 316 SSP with a Yaqi Chippendale 316 SSP handle- Mfg 2123, mild to tame mid range depending on blade used or shim. Excellent machining and finish QC for my shaving needs. Small head parts makes me assemble blade on a wash cloth just in case I drop a part. The Romulus razor does have some positive blade exposure but if a person wants a little more blade feel use a Feather pro super or shim it .006-.010" inches works excellent also. I had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Kia Captain titian mild(4) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity. Great blade for 50mm AC razors IMO.
Soap : Razorock Lavender. Great masculine scented lavender with some of the best lather qualities I have used.(Obsolete) + on 3rd tub.
Brush : Yaqi "Chianti's" 24 mm synthetic. Excellent lather generator, luxury cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock King Louis Lavender with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Romulus 50mm AC type razor with a Kai Captain mild blade.

Razor : Yaqi Excalibur SE 50mm AC with a Yaqi Milano 316SSP handle. Mfg 2021>, mild range to tame mid range. Small head parts, I assemble on wash cloth for convivence so not drop parts. Simple clamping design of blade makes for good results + very affordable for most when just buying the head or razor. Works well with all AC blades IMO. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Schick proline (4) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : La Toja stick, very mild clean scent (smoky?) with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Casino clubs" 26mm Timberwolf synthetic. Excellent lather generator, luxury heavenly cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Nivea refreshing AS + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi SE Excalibur with a Schick proline blade.

GEMonday shave, February 12 2024

Razor : Gem Damaskenne OC 1912. Mfg 1912-15 (for the OC)- mild to tame mid range. First of the 1912 models came out with open comb and later models where closed after 1915 and both are excellent razors. Hard to find a rare Damaskenne O.C in the wild.
The razor has been a pleasure to use and enjoyable to own. Had a stellar close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE (3) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle!
Soap : La Toja stick, nice mild clean slight smokey scented + excellent lather qualities.
Brush :Yaqi "Sagrada Familia" 22mm 2band badger, Excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter. Small handle but WoW type of face feel and performance IMO.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Pinaud Clubman with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a Stellar close comfortable shave this morning with my Gem Damaskenne OC with a Gem coated blade. (Just one of those shaves that puts a smile on my face for closeness with no issues.)
