Injector and SE Shaves

SE SOTD, February 29th 2024

Razor : Yaqi Romulus SE 316 SSP with a Yaqi Chippendale 316 SSP handle- Mfg 2023, mild to tame mid range depending on blade used or shim. Excellent machining and finish QC for my shaving needs. Small head parts makes me assemble blade on a wash cloth just in case I drop a part. The Romulus razor does have some positive blade exposure but if a person wants a little more blade feel use a Feather pro super or shim it .006-.010" inches works excellent also. I had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Kai Captain Titian mild(7) sharp and smooth with great longevity. 1st time using this blade past 6 uses for comfortable shaves, last shave I had at 6 uses indicated blade was working well still.
Soap : Cyril R Salter Wild Rose, nice scented rose cream with excellent lather qualities. CRS creams are excellent IMO.
Brush : Yaqi "Mysterious space" 24 mm 3band silvertip badger. Excellent lather generator, luxury pillow like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Italian barber Amici witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Romulus SE AC type razor with a Kai Captain Titian blade.

The Musgo Real Shave Soap lathered well with Tom's 3D Printed Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with Tom's Fuzzy Catcher and a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Dickinson's Lemongrass Witch Hazel. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

SE Sunday SOTD, March 3rd 2024

Razor : Yaqi SE Excalibur AC type with a Milano 316SSP handle- Mfg 2021>, tame mid range. Simple blade clamping system + head parts are small so I like to work on a wash cloth to reduce chances of dropping any parts. This little razor has given me consistent close shaves and enjoyable ones. 1st pass on this razor seems a bit tuggy compared to the Yaqi Romulus SE AC 316 polished version using the Schick proline blades. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Schick Proline P30 (5) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Mitchell's wool fat, mild clean scented lather with great lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi " Robin" 24mm boar bristle hair knot. Excellent lather generator, soft split end bristle hairs, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : FINE Fresh Vetiver aftershave with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Excalibur with a Schick proline blade.
