ASRazor shave, Tue, June 22nd 2021

Razor: Star bar #4 lather catcher(Kampfe brothers, Brooklyn NY)- Mfg 1919-20, excellent daily driver, Tame mid range, one of the best razors I own and enjoy going back in time during the roaring 1920's.
Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE (5) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely and very predictable.
Soap: Razorock blue barber, nice scent and excellent lather qualities.(great using a newer Generation synthetic brush IMO)
Brush: Chinese 21mm synthetic, OK lather generator, soft tips, great scrub + OK lather painter. First synthetic brush I owned 4 years ago and the newer generation synthetics have come a long way. Great inexpensive travel brush, mainly what I used it for.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS, no irritation + no weepers = [IMG]excellent shave with my Star bar #4 lather catcher with a coated Gem blade.

    Williams Wednesday - 22nd June.

    The Grosvenor - 404 mixed
    Williams Mug soap
    RR S/S Hawk V3- OC
    Kai CT Protouch MG [ 1 ]
    Williams Aqua Velva A/S Lotion

A rather extravagant move today as I binned a blade on 4 , to try out the Kai Guarded Blade in the Hawk V3-OC for the first time. It may well be an expensive blade, but it seems to work well on my quite harsh strong beard. The Shave was very comfortable and I had no problems clearing away even the most stubborn areas of growth. Very pleased with an all round Top Notch finish.

    Burham Safety Razor
    Burham Blade

The Williams Mug Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #277 Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Burham Safety Razor with a Burham Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Citrus Musk EDC. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Away Day Shave

Learnt a lesson today- after quite a few days using guarded blades, used my Occams Oren with a Schick Proline.
Got a bit keen to get a close Shave and pushed it a bit going ATG, as a result got a cut and some weepers my first in a long time.

First use of this re-handled Schick still not sure if it's a late E or a G. Several people have commented elsewhere as to why it could be one or the other. Either way it shaved great. I will have to do a comparison shave with ones I know to be a G and an E soon.
I made the handle slightly longer than the ones on my other E or Gs and it feels wonderful. Although if I make another I think I will go a bit bigger yet.

The 3d printed Stoll Jr. Certainly lives up to it's lather catcher name. With no clogging, I completed each pass before needing to rinse. Lovely smooth result after a lovely, relaxed set of passes. The baton handle is quite inspired, being very comfortable to hold.
    Very happy with @SlimGem's design.
