The Colgate Shaving Mug Soap lathered well with the B-3 Red and Black Badger Brush by Tom. Two passes and touch ups with the 1902 Kampfe Brothers/Star Lather Catcher and the Star Wedge blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Clubman Special Reserve After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

SE Sunday Schick Shave(SSSS), July 28th 2024

Razor : Schick E2 injector, Canadian variant. Mfg 1930's-40's, mid range. Excellent stamping technolgy for that time period to make a decent razor. i modified mine so to manually install blades or injecto either way. I prefer the manual way to rinse and dry better. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : SChick injector(6) sharp and smooth with good longevity.
Soap : Razorock Irish Countryside, nice scented soap with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi " Rainbow" 26mm brown whiskers synthetic. Excellent lather generator, luxury cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. Big handle + excellent knot make for a great brush for my shaving needs.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock Irish Countryside spalash with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Schick E2 injector with a SChick blade.

A shave from a couple of days ago. Nice shave but the B1 was clearly a step towards the near perfection of the Schick C3. Fun nonetheless

This shave was about eight years in the making. This was the first SE I bought in my fevered early RAD stages. Somehow other razors were quickly acquired and jumped the line before I got back to this nice Clog-Pruf. Well, it’s been patiently waiting and today was the day. Excellent shave if just a tad milder than what is ideal for me. Glad I finally got to it

Razor : Gem G bar. Mfg 1955-58, milder to tame mid range. Well built to last generations, it has a excellent heavy chrome coating. In a skilled hand with good technique the results are excellent. Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(5) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Yaqi "The Green", nice scented fresh forest scent IMO with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Viper" 24mm boar bristle knot. Excellent lather generator, soft split end bristle hairs, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Yaqi "The Green" + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning with my Gem(ASR) "G" bar with a coated Gem blade.

My last two shaves were fun.just comparing some more razors to the British Ever-Ready 1912. The first picture is with the American 1912. This particular razor is an excellent shaver. The 2 were actually extremely close. The second picture is with the quite rare Ever-Ready 1909. The 1909 beat the British 1912 in shave efficiency on a single pass test. I then used the 1909 to complete the shave.
