Injector and SE Shaves

SE SOTD, Friday, December 20th 2024

Razor : Yaqi Romulus SE 316SSP with a Yaqi Chippendale 316 SSP handle. Mfg 2023>, mild to tame mid range. Excellent machining, finish with a simple clamping design(very hard to manufacture small SS Parts IMO).
Blade : Kai Captain Titian mild pink(2) sharp and smooth with excellent longevity.
Soap : Speick stick, nice mild herbal scented soap with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Ferrari" 24mm boar bristle knot. Very soft and nice face feel knot with a nice handle to hold.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock King Louis Lavender with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Romulus SE with a Kai CTMP blade .

SE Sunday shave, December 22nd 2024

Razor : Yaqi Excalibur SE 50mm with Yaqi Milano 316 SSP handle. Mfg 2021>, tame mid range. Very affordable, recommend the chrome head it seems to glide well and I get better results.
Blade : Kai Captain mild pink (3) sharp and smooth with great longevity. Very nice blade in the 50mm range.
Soap : Razorock M.F, nice cologne scented croap with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "ever helpful" 22mm 2band badger. Great brush who enjoy the scrub with a smaller handle.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock M.F splash with witch hazel+ a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Excalibur razor + Kai CTMP 50mm blade. Very enjoyable shave visiting my old favorite Excalibur razor.

Razor : Gem G bar. Mfg 1955-58, mild to tame mid range. Excellent razor to pass through generations and still work.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(4) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Razorock MF croap, very nice scented cologne type soap with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Moka Express" 26mm Husky knot. Just all around excellent brush that was made with small batch(never see them for sale).
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave :Razorock MF splash with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Gem G Bar razor with a coated Gem blade. Nice razor to start the day!
