The Proraso Sandalwood Shave Soap lathered well with Tom's B400 Two-band Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Superior Lather Catcher razor and the Personna Gem Stainless PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Lucky Brand Citrus Mist. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

SE Sunday shave, December 29th 2024

Razor : Yaqi Romulus 316SSP with a Yaqi Chippendale 316 SSP handle. Mfg 2023>, mild to tame mid range. Excellent machining, finish + simple clamping system.
Blade : Kai Captain Titian mild pink(4) sharp and smoooth with excellent longevity.
Soap : Cyril R Salter Wild Rose cream. Nice scent of roses 6-7/10 strength IMO. Reddish tinge to soap but does not stain brushes.
Brush : Yaqi "Mysterious space" 24mm 3band silvertip badger. Excellent badger for my daily shaves!
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Italian barber Amici splash with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning with my Yaqi Romulus razor with a Kai CTMP blade. (Very enjoyable shave this morning with excellent results, one of my best SE razors with a Kai blade.)

Razor : Yaqi Romulus SE 316 SSP with a Yaqi Chippendale 316 SSP handle. Mfg 2023, mild to tame mid range. Excellent machining, finish and design + nimble maneuvering of razor.
Blade : Kai CTMP (5) sharp and smooth with excellent longevity.
Soap : Ach Brito Lavanda cream, very light lavender scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Purple haze" 24mm synthetic knot. Nice over all brush for my shaving needs.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ach Brito Lavanda with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Romulus SE razor with a Kai CTMP blade.

Two passes and touch ups with the 1902 Kampfe Brothers/Star Catcher razor and the Star Wedge Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Lustray Spice After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

Sunday Schick shave, January 5th 2025

Razor : Schick E2 injector Canadian variant. Mfg 1930's-40's, mid range. Well made to last with a little care are my thoughts on this razor.
Blade : Schick injector (5) sharp and smooth with great longevity. Nice blade around 3-6 shaves count it seems for myself.
Soap : Ogallala Bayrum & Sandalwood, nice Bayrum with some clove with the Sandalwood nicely making a scent that I enjoy + excellent lather qualities when brush loading or using puck like a shave stick gives some great lather for 2 1/2 passes.
Brush : Yaqi"Sagrada Familia"
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : witch hazel soap residual beard cleanse+ Ogallala Bayrum & sandalwood + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning with my Schick E2 with a Schick blade.

MicroMatic Monday, January 6th 2025

Razor : Gem Micromatic clog Pruf (Peerless 17 nib S.B variant). Mfg 1945, mid range. I seem to enjoy this Micromatic more than the other 2 models(MMOC & MMFW) in the well built Micromatic razors.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE (5) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Razorock Irish Countryside, nice fragranced soap with some of the best lather qualities a person needs.
Brush : Yaqi "Rainbow" 26mm brown whiskers synthetic. Large handle with excellent knot for my shaving needs.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Witch hazel beard area residual soap cleanse + Razorock Irish Countryside + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Gem Clog Pruf razor with a coated Gem blade.
