Injector and SE Shaves

Thank you. The shave is smooth, efficient but still fairly mild. I do have other injector razors that I enjoy using.

 

Many thanks I'm just going to start injector shaving I've just got an hydromagic j type, waiting for some injector blades to give it a GO, the I type I like the look of better with its flat rectangular handle, hope to get one of those, of all your injectors which gives your better shave please? REGARDS KEN.

 

The Types I and J give pretty much the same feel/shave. The difference is the handle. I like them all. You should be pleased.

Now 3 Shaves in with the EVO, and feeling more aware of its capability pushed it a bit this morning. By doing some polishing up work the finish was ultra close all round, in fact a "Face Stroker". This Combo is a delight to use, and not only does it deliver great shaves but it seems so forgiving.

Wonderful shave with the Med Prep which clears the whiskers with fewer strokes due to the wide swath it cuts. The Hibernia on 1st use was a pleasure to use. Nice medium scent strength which allows you to enjoy the scent without it over powering and being a distraction. Easy to load and not shy of water. It yields a great lather that is creamy and slick. This is a winner for me. 25th day of SEptember and just 5 more SE shaves to go. Clearly I will run out of days in the month before I run out of Vintage SE razors. This has been such a fun month I am considering selling my prized Vector SB and OC Razor...........time will tell. Have a great weekend everyone !!

Saturday's Shave


Cold Water Rinse
Proraso White Shaving Cream (Green Tea and Oatmeal)
SlimGem Silvertip Badger
GEM Damaskeene Open Face
Personna GEM SS PTFE

The Proraso White Shaving Cream lathered well with SlimGem Silvertip Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the GEM Damaskeene Open Face with a Personna GEM SS PTFE gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Citrus Musk EDC. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

Tarmax adjustable injector, Personna injector blade, shave 2


Maiden voyage with this razor designed and manufactured by @twhite . I put in a Personna blade which had 1 shave on it and adjusted the handle a half turn from where it bottoms out. This razor is plenty efficient at this setting and can bite if not careful. As long as you adhere to ride the cap it is almost idiot proof to use as long as you don't have a heavy hand at this setting. Razor plowed through at least 1 week's amount of facial hair like it was nothing. Razor was easy to clean as the hair clogged up guard, only complaint is the guard's lather drains don't allow of an easy shake in a sink of water to clean. You have to rinse the blade and guard to really dislodge the built up hairs. Shouldn't be an issue with a day or 3 growth. End result BBS finish achieved and the razor passed the heavy usage test with flying colors and also proved it is more than up to the task for use with less sharp blades like the Personnas which in mild enough injectors work about as well as a butter knife for shaving.
