Razor: Gem Micromatic Clog Pruf(Peerless model 17 nib SB)- Mfg 1945, nice mid range, built to last, right weight, all brass construction. I always like to use this razor when the blade count is higher & it helps give a great shave for myself.
Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE(9) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable.
Soap: Razorock Santa del Maria Fiore, nice mild vanilla scent with mild tobacco + excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi Sagrada Familia 22 mm 2 band badger- excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, nice scrubber + great painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera Gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups.
Post shave: Razorock Santa Maria del Fiore AS with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe Moisturizing lotion + scentless.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers=excellent shave with my MMCP with a coated Gem blade.

Hi Roger. Looking at the blade loading on YouTube, I noticed you'd changed your design. Is it an internal spring mechanism? It's very impressive.

 

Thank you, Arthur. Yes, I worked around some small stainless steel springs I found on Amazon and they seem to work well.

This was a superb Shave, apart from my failure to clear around the nostrils. When the Proline was on board I had no such problems, so need to sort this out.

I'm just now getting around to posting yesterday's shave. I stropped up one of my Kampfe Bros Star wedge blades and installed it in the 1898 Gem Lather Catcher. The shave didn't feel as smooth as my last wedge blade shave but still ended up being a very close and comfortable shave. I'm really liking the Rt. 66 brush with Oumo boar knot. And this is my first use of the Rt. 66 mug I got from my friend who I help out at his restaurant. It's a nice heavy mug and holds lots of heat making it an excellent brush scuttle.

Wow. That looks especially good in black and red. I think a burgundy handle with a bronze colored head would be especially spectacular.

Sunday injector shave, Feb27th 2022

Razor: Pal injecto-matic-1952+ excellent tame mid range, well engineered and a lot of money was spent developing this razor(1 million $$>). I also to quickly pick this ready to go razor for missed areas after shave gear put away.
Blade: Personna SS PTFE(3) very sharp, good longevity, smooths nicely + predictable.
Soap: Gillette Pure cream- nice sweet scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Omega boar 10005, excellent lather generator, soft split end bristles, nice scrub + great lather painter. Nice boar brush!
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups.
Post shave: Fine fresh vetiver with witch hazel + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers=excellent shave with my Pal injecto-matic with a Personna coated injector blade.
