Ten shaves on the blade and counting. Usually with a DE, I get three shaves, and I've pushed as far as seven. I'm going to see how many I can get from this one too. Smooth and easy, my skin feels great.

The Indigo Oud Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #415 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with The 3D Injector Razor with a Schick Proline B-20 Injector Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. SE SOTD. Fri, March 4th 2022

Razor: Yaqi V2 Excalibur AC 50mm- excellent tame mid range, great design for clamping small blade. Top cap needs some alignment manually, but sure gives a nice shave. Daily driver potential for some folks.
Blade: Schick Proline P30 50mm(2)- sharp & smooth with reasonable longevity for a AC blade.
Soap: Speick, nice mild spicy scent with excellent lather qualities, gotten to really enjoy making lather with this soap.
Brush: Yaqi red Zebra 26mm synthetic, excellent lather generator, heavenly cloud like soft tips, gentle scrub + excellent painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups.
Post shave: Ach Brito Lavanda AS with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion + scentless.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers=excellent shave with my Yaqi Excalibur 50mm with a Schick P30 blade.

My last Shave with this Razor was not pleasant, but a fresh blade makes a difference. Two days growth presented no problems, and I was pleased at the quality of the finished Shave.

On this date in 1969, I boarded a jet at Tan Son Nhut Air Base in Saigon, South Vietnam, and put the war behind me, returning to the USA.

Razor: Schick E2 injector, Canadian variant- Mfg 1930-40's excellent mid range, approx 1OZ weight Excellent shaves 95% of the time.
Blade: Personna SS PTFE injector(7) Sharp & smooth with great longevity.
Soap: Italian barber Amici, nice grapefruit scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi Goblin 24mm synthetic- excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice scrub + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups.
Post shave: Italian barber Amici with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion + Scentless.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers=excellent shave with my Schick E2 injector with a Personna blade.

Shaved again with a Raster but this time with a V2. Both Razors fitted with a Proguard, the V2 with a light handle.I reckon that the V2 has better blade alignment, so the Shave was very smooth with a great finish.

 

I had a very enjoyable seeing this morning with the Open Comb Gem Damaskeene, vintage Williams Mug Soap and my custom made Linen Micarta brush with SHD Badger knot from Maggards. And today's watch is the Casio world time on a 22 mm adjustable single pass NATO strap from cheapest NATO straps using JaysAndKays adapters.

Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE(1) excellent sharp blade, great longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable.
Soap: Italian barber Amici, nice mild scent of grapefruit + excellent lather protection.
Brush: Yaqi 24mm high mountain silvertip badger- excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, great scrubber + great painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera Gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups.
Post shave: Italian barber Amici with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion+ scentless.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS, + no irritation + no weepers =excellent shave with my Gem Jr bar with a Gem coated blade.

Injector story.

My grandfather generally used a straight razor(Utica Red Point Soligen) I believe it was, brush not known, Old Spice puck, English Leather after shave. One day grandma received a Schick Injector and a can of foam as a free promotional item at the Boston Store. He gave it a whirl. He never looked back. But he did keep the English Leather splash.

Razor: Star Bar #4 model lather catcher- MFG 1919-20 Excellent tame mid range, well made, I get excellent shaves with this lather catcher. It might of been one of the last lather catchers Star made before going to more modern designs of ASR razors?
Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE(2) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable.
Soap: Gillette Pure cream- nice mild scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi Cola 22 mm synthetic- excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice scrubber, great lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups.
Post shave: Razorock Emperor with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe Moisturizing lotion + scentless.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers=Excellent shave with my STAR bar #4 L.C + a coated Gem blade.
