Injector and SE Shaves

Looking at it now it's hard to believe it has ever been neglected. Great job on restoring it.

 

MMMonday, March 28th 2022

Razor: Micromatic Flying wing(AKA, guiding eye, Micromatic bullet tip=MMBT) Excellent tame mid range, I can get DFS++ usually and that is a nice sweet spot for me, heaviest of the Micromatics and designed to last, well designed with the rack & pinion clamp.
Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE(7) excellent, very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable.
Soap: Razorock Irish countryside, mild scent with excellent lather qualities. Excellent protection slickness.
Brush: Yaqi Mountain lake 24mm 2band badger, excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, great scrub + great later painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. Cold clams the skin.
Post shave: Witch hazel beard cleanse + Proraso green with witch hazel .
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = excellent shave with my Micromatic Flying wing with a coated Gem blade.

Thank you. 12 years collecting, and suddenly, I've got half a dozen Schick razors. One Krona, the rest injectors. I've always been strictly Gillette, but always keep anything in a lot that I like.
Just today, the first one I've ever bought on purpose arrived, which happens to be the only one I ever wanted... a Stick Schick, to go with my 6-speed avatar!

ASRazor shave, March 29th 2022

Razor :Everready 2nd Gen streamline- Mfg England 1950's, Great upper mid range, well built, very nice shave today.
Blade :Gem Personna SS PTFE (8) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable.
Soap :Speick stick- nice mild spicy lavender scent + excellent lather qualities. One of my favorites.
Brush :Yaqi 24 mm Robin boar- excellent lather generator, soft split end bristles, great scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave :Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep :Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups.
Post :Razorock King Louis lavender with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion ( Scentless)
Results : CCS,DFS,BBs + minor irritation + no weepers=excellent shave with my ER streamline with a coated Gem blade.

Mon 28th March

I always enjoy Shaves with my Type F, it is an incredibly tactile Razor and a pleasure to hold during a Shave. In addition of course it also delivers a rather good finished Shave.

 

Congratulations. I got hooked pretty deep on the Schicks. I have at least one of each letter A through O. Although my O is a clone.
I don't have the stick which I believe is an L variant. I do have an L though.

 

Tabac Tuesday. GEM MMOC and a Zenith boar followed by a splash of Aqua Velva Musk.

Razor : Valet auto-strop, C1 Canadian variant- Mfg 1920's, I modified gap from 11/1000 to 7/1000 inch & this made a huge difference in comfort of the shave, precious owner changed this I figure and neglected the razor. Works like a charm.
Blade :Gem Personna SS PTFE (4) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable.
Soap :Razorock WTP Orange- nice orange citrus scent mid strength + excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Razorock 24mm Noir 400 synthetic, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, great scrub + great lather painter.
Pre shave : Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2.
Post shave: Razorock Amici with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless)
Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= excellent shave with my C1 Valet Auto strop with modified a coated Gem blade

Blade : Schick Proline AC (7) great blade for a AC, sharp & smooth with reasonable longevity for a AC blade.
Soap :Cyril R Salter Indian Sandalwood, nice upper mid range Sandal wood scent, excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi 24 Artic sky Silvertip badger, Excellent lather generator, heavenly soft pillow tips, nice scrub + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups.
Post : Proraso red with witch hazel+ a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless)
Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers=:a17 Excellent shave with my SE Yaqi V2 Excalibur + Schick Proline P30.

The Col. Conk Amber Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #424 Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the C.V. Heljestrand Lather Catcher with a Heljestrand Wedge Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Lustray Spice After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

Supply vs. 8 days growth
Effortless. My whiskers did not stand a chance. The lather was thick and slick, and the razor went along like a hot knife through butter. This razor may be hard to put down.

Always very nice when I get to use this Razor on a Sunday morning, as then I know that I am going to have a quality hassle free Shave. Today was good with a great lather from this Italian soap.
