Injector and SE Shaves

Sunday Schick shave, July25th 2021

Razor: Schick i2 injector with hydro magic, Mfg 1954-57, excellent tame mid range, very nice razor to manipulate all areas of the face. Small foot print around the nose or high lining a beard.
Blade: Personna SS PTFE(9) excellent blade, very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable IMO.
Soap: Colonel Conk Bayrum, nice mild scent with excellent lather qualities>good slickness IMO.
Brush: Yaqi Tuxedo knot 24mm synthetic , one of my favorites, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, great scrubber and excellent lather painter. Hard to beat and got me interested in Yaqi this brush did.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: witch hazel + Ogallala bayrum with Sandalwood + a dollop of Nivea balm + 2 drops of HA.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers=excellent shave with my Schick i2 injector with hydro magic with a Personna coated blade.

Wonderful shave with one of my trusty “Schick-Busters,” the PAL Injecto-Matic. With a “dogs danglies” NOS Dutch Schick blade it doesn’t get better

The Ingram Shave Cream lathered well with Tom's B-3 Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Schick M Adjustable Razor with a Schick Proline B20 Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

I went with the Peerless Micromatic Clog-Pruf today for a quick cleanup.

Razor: Gem Damaskeene 1912 open comb, Mfg 1912-15, the razor that turned Gem into household brand for decades, excellent tame mid range, easy carefree shave this morning. One of my oldest and hardest to find A.S.R razors in my collection .
Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE (4) excellent blade, Very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable.
Soap: Colonel Conk Bayrum, nice milder scent (Ver#1) excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi 24mm timber wolf, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of Clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: Ogallala Bayrum with sandal wood + a dollop of Nivea balm + 2 drops of HA.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + 1 blemish weeper=excellent shave with my Gem Damaskeene 1912 oc with a Gem coated blade.

Though I like long handled Razors, I have no problems with the 1914 and have Top Notch Shaves with one. It is probably for most users of a 1912 the next step up, as it delivers a smoother more forgiving shave.

A.S.Razor shave, July 27th, 2021

Razor: Star bar #4 model- Mfg 1920, excellent mid range, well built for that Era, I just get great shaves with it.
Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE(5) excellent blade, Very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable.
Soap: Ach Brito Lavanda cream(New), mild scent of lavender with great lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi Dandi lion 24mm Cashmere knot- excellent lather generator, heavenly cloud like soft tips, mild scrub + great lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera Gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: witch hazel + Ach Brito Lavada cologne AS(New) + a dollop of Nivea balm + 2 drops of HA.
Results: CCS, DFS, BBS + no irritation + no weepers = excellent shave with my Star bar(Kampfe brothers Brooklyn NY) with a Gem coated blade.

I shaved yesterday with The 1914, and it was quite noticeable this morning that regrowth was not as heavy as usual. Made todays Shave a lot easier and overall Shave Time reduced, but still got a Top Notch finish.
