First outing with the Hussy. It left a lot to be desired. With all the favorable talk around here about this razor it has to be my angle that was wrong. That okay though I will try it again in the future, but right now I have other injectors I have to use. I did three passes trying to find the proper angle. After the third pass I was still left with whiskers. I picked up my sons E2 to do a quick forth pass just to knock the whiskers down. That left me with a good enough shave. Tonight I have the PAL De-Luxe on deck that I got from Fuzzy.

    Personna CS

    Thayer's Lemon WH
    Aqua Velva Musk

A change up in the lineup today. I got a 3-D printed shim from Fuzzy today (@wchnu), and I want to give it a go for Williams Wednesday. The idea is to change the angle of a modern SE blade to replicate the angle of the original wedge blades.

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Williams Mug Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the JR #259 Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Gem Jr. Lather Catcher Razor using a Personna CS blade with a 3-D printed shim and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Aqua Velva Musk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

The shim did an outstanding job with my razor. I almost could not feel the blade. I would say that it did what it was designed to do. Thanks @wchnu and riverrun for the shim.

Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: Schick Proline
    Razor: Schick G4 '66' injector
    Brush: Restored Surrey badger
    Lather: Reef Point Classic Barbershop
Post: Witch hazel, Reef Point Classic Barbershop aftershave
    WTG, touch up

The Schick 66 performed quite well again. I enjoyed using it a good bit last month and came back to it today to help with the blue theme of the setup. Have a great day!

    RyX DoH!

I've got a Schick with the same textured top, but a different color handle. My thoughts are it's a G-1 but I don't know how I came up with the number.
Vanna, can I buy a clue?

Today's shave. Another injector I'm just not quite sure about. E-3 I think. It has tabs, the spring locks on a little nub, one patent number - #1806087, & parallel grooves going long ways on the guard bar.

Sounds like my chosen razor today too, Rick. I’m pretty confident it’s an E-3. The case it came with is identical to the one you have .

I just reread my post... I mean I believe your Schick is an E-3 because your description of the razor is the same as mine... not merely because of that case. Wasn’t sure if that came across previously.

A good 1912 Shave with a great finish, though I am more inclined to use of a 1924/ Streamline. For a period
ER UK produced sets with Aluminium Handles, these were the Peerless [hexagonal] and The Bathroom set.
The 1912 I used today has a variant round handle, with one from a Bathroom set being shown left of picture.
