I have come to the conclusion that I might with Postage etc , have spent a bit acquiring this Razor - it was worth it. Fitted with a Modern Twin Blade on its 20th outing , I have just had a most leisurely Sunday Morning Shave. The ease and comfort of Shave is really good , one can use a super light touch to despatch even the most stubborn of whiskers . So despite having a tough beard and an aging blade ! I got a super close all round Shave. Now have no option but to carry on using the combo to see how far it will go.

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Musgo Real Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the TOST LE Synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Gem 1905 Lather Catcher Razor using an Original Gem Cutlery SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Vulfix 404 mixed
    Vitos Super Red
    ATT SE1 & Windrose Handle
    Schick Proline [ 13 ]
    Jaguar Prestige A/S Lotion

When changing Razor Types I seem to reach automatically for one of my dependable Soaps, so Today just had to be Vitos.
After todays Shave I know that the ATT SE1 just has to be my favourite modern SE Razor. Somehow I have managed to team up the ATT head with a non stock handle that seems perfectly weighted, when placed in areas such as the cheek that weight only has to be guided lightly and whiskers just float away.

Without doubt the overall quality of the finished Shave today, puts all others I have had recently with Injectors and Vintage
SE Razors into the Shade. An extremely comfortable and rewarding Shave attained with ease and little likelihood of mishap.

    BULLY!!!

    Early model?

My shave this afternoon. Second round with the Marvy's soap and brush went veddy good. This was my first use of the later model E2 I picked up the other day. It is not as aggressive feeling as my early model....but gives just as good a shave. Veddy much a keeper! 20180226_151820.jpg
The video of the shave is here if anyone wants to see.

Evening single pass head shave. I used the Guiding Eye version of the Bullet Tip, which I just realize is a different finish, a shinier chrome of a slightly different shade from the earlier version. Nice comfortable shave, adequately sharp.[IMG]

I'm going to correct my prior belief that the Guiding Eye was the later version of the Bullet Tip. This 1949 ad suggests the Guiding Eye in fact got the hook in '49 having been in production doing 1947-48, replaced by the blind version with a somewhat inferior finish (nickel vs chrome).
