Will the Superior razor take modern SE blades? It looks like it.

You are able to get them through sites like Ted Pella and other medical distributor sites. Not sure if they just box up the ASR stuff and 're-brand'. The only blades available to us here in the UK (in bulk) are the GEM Personna PTFE coated stainless from Connaught Shaving.

 

The bulk SE carbon blades like those from Ted Pella are not the same as the ones sold for shaving. I've got 200 each of the bulk PAL and GEM blades and they are not good to shave with.

That's rubbish
I guess it'll be stainless PTFE GEMs for me when my 1912 arrives! I was looking forward to trying the carbon on the advices of Fuzzy and others... Apparently they are smoother. Never mind... One less variable to contend with

I find this Razor/Blade more aggressive in use than the Razors I have used over the last week. In a way I was satisfied
with the Shave, as though the finish was a bit lacking in some areas, I was pleased to have handled the Razor in such a manner that no mishaps occurred.

Good morning friends. A truly fine three pass shave this morning with the PAL Adjustable fitted with a "Chick" blade. Despite the ridiculous name, Razorock Mudder Focker is an exceptional performer. I am smooth and refreshed. Enjoy your day friends. ☺️

A change of heart this morning having readied a soap, on the spur of the moment dug out this Cream i had not used for a while. As usual probably put too much in the bowl, hence a great dense lather was produced which really worked well
during the Shave. I enjoyed what was a very easy Shave and very pleased with the outcome , nice and close all round.

 

Brush: Anbbas Boar
Soap: TOBS Sandalwood
Razor: Gem Heavy Flat Top
Blade: Gem SS
Post: Warm then cold water rinse, TOBS Sandalwood AS

Although not my favourite member of the Gem family, the G-Bar gives me a better shave than most of my DEs.
Talking of favourites this is my favourite Sandalwood soap and splash combo.
Great little budget brush which just gets better and better.
