I shaved with all my new shave gear today and what a great shave it was. I loved the soap and the brush, the razor was awesome too!:bounce015:
All the new gear preformed great! The brush was stiffer than I expected it to be, it felt great! The soap was amazing, I loved the lime smell and it was so slick! The razor preformed better than expected, I have the V1 and the V2 did I think a little better! I defiantly could tell the difference between both versions.

    SOTD June 30th 2018

Pre: The Cube and warm water
    Razor: Supply One Edge V2
    Blade: Chick (1)
    Brush: The Puzzler (JROC)
    Soap: Stirling Lime
Post: Alum and cold water rinse

I started out with a warm face rinse and applied the cube preshave soap. I lathered the soap good before starting to face lather, I loved the smell! I then painted my face well, scrubbing the soap into my whiskers in prep for my shave. First pass was WTG which mowed down the stubble considerably! Next pass was XTG which left me with a DFS and I almost quit there. I decided to go ATG and got a near BBS, I could have gone for the BBS but I was happy with my shave so I did not go for a clean up pass. I finished off with wiping my face down with cold water and applying the alum which gave very little if any feedback. It was a wonderful Saturday shave and I guess I'm hooked on Stirling soaps now, thanks a lot Jayaruh ;) , honestly I loved the soap. All in all it was a wonderful shave and I'm glad I waited till today to try everything out. Till next time.......

I just have to use the F on a weekend. Officiating today, equipment bag [ rucksack ]packed, sandwiches made,
leisurely Shave with the F. This Japanese Schick is going well, still getting comfortable good quality Shaves. In the interests of research- well they are expensive;), will use it till it fades.

    Pharaoh's Dreamsicle AS

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Stirling Pharaoh's Dreamsicle Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #284 Synthetic brush. I did the first pass with my new Woody 3 razor with Gem CS blade and finished with the Gem 1907 Lather Catcher Razor with an Original Gem Cutlery SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Peach WH and then Stirling Pharaoh's Dreamsicle AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Saturday Night, June 30th... I am back from a 5 day mountain vacation, I used old Gillette DE razors at the Cabin Rental, I am back home to my vast collection and the Schick Paul Reverre with the Personna 74 was calling me again.. blade was on 6th shave. Great shave! Injector shaves are so much easier than DE shaves, how did the American public choose the DE? Than the Cartridge..... when the injector was the best of both worlds.... oh well......
    peace, Jamie

Have a great and safe day at work today Fuzzy. I'm going to copy your shave except I'm going to use my Schick E with a Chinese Schick loaded and my SOC Boar Brush.

America chose DE because Gillette was always front row center on the shaving aisle at the store. I remember seeing Injector razors but Gillette's advertising made us believe they were the better choice. I believe my Father would have gotten better shaves with an Injector razor had he tried one, I know I do. My DE's just sit collecting dust now.

Peer pressure and wanting the most expensive razor on offer perhaps?
If I have the time I prefer using a DE to an injector but my real preference is a SE.

I will, gonna have a relaxing shave here in about a 1/2 hour. I may even try out my newly acquired I-model Hydromagic to see how it compares to the E-model. Maybe use the E- on my face and the Hydromagic on my head since it needs shaving again. Both are loaded with Chinese Schicks.

I had a great shave, used the Hydromagic on my face and the E-model on my head. The Hydromagic's handle is loose at the head and the lever mechanism is broken at the hinge pivot. A little epoxy should secure the handle and if I flip the lever up I can manually open the head for cleaning. To me the Hydromagic feel's more aggressive than the E-model but the E shaves smoother with fewer passes. All in all it was a damn fine shave. I'll post pic's of the razor's after I clean and polish them a little bit more.

I just won a Schick The Grip Injector razor, and a G-model Schick with a white handle that looks like the black G-8's handle. I'll post pic's when I get them this week.

I LOVE the Hydro-magic for many reasons...It takes me an extra pass to equal some of my other razors...But, it is plain fun, very mild, and what a beautiful design. The handle is my favorite injector handle to hold. And something about how the razor head rides flat on my face...it feels very accurate. It's not as efficient as my E's or Injecto-matics...but My I2 would be the last razor I have, to leave my shave cave.... Something about that whole package that knocks me out....Plus...it might be the first razor I ever saw when I was growing up! That Hydro-magic cleaning device is sooo hip too.....Whats not to love....I always used to say, " If Aston Martin made a razor, it would be the Schick Hydro-magic!
