    Williams Mug Shave Soap
    Ever-Ready 200T Boar
    Gem 1907 Lather Catcher
    Original Gem Cutlery SE
    CWR
    Aqua Velva Musk

The Williams Mug Shave Soap face-lathered well with the Ever-Ready 200T Boar brush. I did two passes with the Gem 1907 Lather Catcher Razor with an Original Gem Cutlery SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Aqua Velva Musk AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Yeah, the B1 is an awesome razor. I find it to be really easy to use. Great results. Used it twice last week.

Did we start Featherweight week yet? If not, if the powers that be approve, I officially declare it Featherweight Week here on the Injector and Se Party! Let's use them until Friday and comment here. If it's already been deemed open or closed, then I apologize for my initiative!

Great shave today. Just did one pass to get rid of two days' growth. No need to be super smooth and shiny today. Really enjoyable overall.

    Enjoy your day!

    Sunday's SOTD-07/15/18

    Schick Grip Injector Razor (L)
    Chinese Schick Injector Blade (7)
    Semogue SOC (Boar)
    Proraso SC
    Cremo Cooling SC
    Barbasol Extra Moisturizing SC
    Mennen Original Skinbracer

Did a full head and face shave this afternoon with the Schick Grip and whipped up a super lather with the SOC that was very protective and slick. The Cremo Cooling, and Proraso Green shave creams also made my shave a little cooler which was a relief from the minor heatwave that we have been having here in my area. Finished up with the mentholated Skinbracer for some more added cooling. My face feels cool and refreshed.

    Schick "O" Clone
    Schick Twin - Japan [ 13 ]
    Alcolado Glacial A/S Splash

A late morning Shave which is unusual, but got carried away Checking out Holiday Insurance which is a bit costly when over a certain age. After yesterdays less than good Shave with a a past it blade, I wanted an easy no fuss one, so chose to use the "O" Clone.
The Japanese Twin blade though of similar usage to the Single used yesterday is still full of life. I had a really comfortable shave with a super close all round finish. Rather than use an After Shave I chose to use this invigorating splash which really is value for money.

The C.O. Bigelow Shaving Cream face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #303 synthetic brush. I did two passes with the AutoStrop B2 Razor with a Treet CS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. The B2 is a mild razor. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Osage Rub, a very cooling experience. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I love the scent of this soap but the performance in the past was awful, so I grated and pressed it in the hope of saving it from shower duty.
Sadly my efforts were in vain, there was a slight improvement (could've imagined it), but the lather was still dissipating and the first pass was a race against time.
Second pass I rinsed out the brush, and lathered up with the Lea Stick and the difference was night and day, rich, slick, protective lather.
Ah well, it'll make nice shower soap.
    Happy Shaving one and all.

    Razor: Valet AutoStrop VC4
    Blade: Feather (CS?) (1)
    Brush: Semogue 620
    Soap: Der Vergulde Hand
    Post: Alum, Listerine, WH

I'm sure I've said before that I'm much more of a DE and Injector guy than a traditional SE one. Sometimes, however, the RAD takes control and you buy a razor that you wouldn't normally think about; this was one of those times. Recently, I bought an AutoStrop VC4, which arrived last week, and ordered some Feather blades from TryABlade, which arrived on Saturday. Today was my first shave with the VC4. For the blade, I picked the Feather in the blue wrapper which (I think) is the CS one.

I have to admit that it was a pleasant experience which I enjoyed better than many of my shaves with a Gem. Two days of growth was removed easily with no issues for a satisfying DFS. No noise from the Alum.

A couple of questions for the experts:
    1) Am I correct that the Feather blades in the blue wrapper are CS and the black ones are Stainless? Or do I have it backwards?
    2) I've seen posts where people have used a Feather SE in a Gem by adding the spine from a used blade. If I have a gem with the standoffs for the Singledge blade, can I use the Feather blade as is?

Final thoughts- I have to admit that there is something to the Steampunk look of an AS with its exposed gears. I feel a bit like I need to put on some goggles and fire up the dirigible.

Here is a razor I've nicknamed denty. I don't know if you can see it in the picture but the hood has a big dent in it. These micromatics are built like tanks. I've had this one for awhile and shaved with it few times. I like razors that have little character to them like ol' denty here.

    wchnu Duck Season!

The blue is the SS...the black wrapped CS are to be avoided at all cost.

It is silly to use the Feather SS in anyway with a GEM capable razor. The GEM style blades are much better. It is possible that you could use the Feather in a OCMM made to use the double sided GEM blades. Again I see no point in trying so that is not advise to try it.

At least it is the same style as the original. It does not give me hives...thanks!!

Veddy nice. Great looking hydro magic too.
