Fat Friday Detour of a Stirling SEptember

Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
Blade: GEM PTFE
Razor: GEM Pushbutton
Brush: Omega 10049 boar
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Post: Witch hazel, Fine American Blend aftershave

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The De Vergulde Hand Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Alpha T-400 Silvertip Badger brush. I did two passes with the Supply Provision Safety Razor with a Schick Proline B20 blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Clubman Pinaud AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Last Hurrah for this blade, and with a wise choice of soap the Shave went very well . I was able to get a very close all round finish with a bit of extra polishing up, I did indulge in an Alum Rub/Rinse as I felt it was needed.

 

Pre: Warm water splash
Brush: Semogue 1470 Boar
Soap: Cyril R. Salter Tallow
Razor: E-R Sun Ray
Blade: Pal Super CS
Post: Warm then cold water rinse, Jovan Musk ASL

I'm not convinced with the Jovan Musk, maybe it'll grow on me.

Hi everyone,

Can you guys date and name these SE razors? I purchased them today and somebody recommended me to ask in this thread.
The second razor seems patented in March 24/14 but i am not sure about the production date and if it has a special name.

That sunray is just incredible looking

The first one looks to be about a 1907ish Ever Ready. I love the one I have.

The second is what we call a 1914...or the little lather catcher. That set dates from about 1925. According to Waits.

After 5 days with a Streamline, I needed to pick up on my SE Rotation. I chose my second favourite ER, which I enjoy with a non stock handle, as it enables the razor to be used with long effective strokes. The Shave was very smooth, a good Lather helps and though I had a relatively quick /short Shave the finish was more than satisfactory
for a day out officiating at trackside.
