Of the 1912s that I have used and owned this has to be my Favourite. Seems to hold the blade more firmly
less Chatter, yet has a nice degree of blade feel yet is forgiving. With ease I attained a great Shave with a super lose all round finish.
All set for a trip to Canterbury to collect some currency for a holiday in Istanbul- must check out the Arko
    and possibly a Barber Shave.

I have been looking but with no joy.
I like them but they don't last very long, prefer the Pal Super but that could be because they're harder to get.

The more rare the better they are in my memory I think.

First time with the V1, it looks like a cross between the General and the Mongoose, not as pretty/slinky as the General and not quite as utilitarian as the Mong.
The shave, I was quite impressed, I found it easier to use under the jawline than the Mong and ended up with a DFS+.
I'll try it tomorrow on a less unwieldy handle and see if it can become as manoeuvrable as the General.
    Happy Shaving one and all.

9/24/18 - GEM bakelite bullet tip - is this a rare razor? I don't see it posted - anybody know the year this was made and what it is called? I love the look - and of course its a great shave - PAL SUPER on 2nd shave. BBS.....

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Tabac Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #319 brush. I did two passes with the Bunny V3 Injector Razor with a Schick Proline B20 Blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Tabac AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

The proper name for the "bullet tip" is the Flying Wing. I will have to see when the bakelite tip was in.

    Hold my beer......

After once again seeing a Clog Pruf being used with a Injector style blade I had to see. I am very anti blade tinkering..except when needed for extent blades. I had to see for myself if the Injector blade helped anything. It did not in my opinion. I am biased of course and admit it. The shave was very good and shows that a razor is a blade holder. Blade is a blade. If held tight and not damaged it will shave. I enjoyed the shave like I do all shaves...but no real reason to do this to a razor.

I agree it doesn't really change much. It might if one had a preference for a particular blade ie a Proline or a particular AC blade.

I can agree with that. Or maybe just had better access to those blades? I could see that too.

    Gem Micromatic - Flying Wing

    Pitralon Polar A/S Lotion

Today I used this fairly minty youngest member of the Micromatic family, the Flying Wing [ Bullet Tip], a Razor I do not use that much. I find that It Shaves very smoothly but is perhaps a bit too mild for me, as whilst I enjoyed the comfort of the Shave I found that the closeness of finished Shave was not as good as those I get with the Original Micromatic, but it is more than satisfactory. I feel sure that by doing more polishing up work I could get a closer finish. Definitely would be a brilliant choice Razor for those with Lighter beards than mine.

The Claymore prefers this handle to the gigantic OSS, the soap is a very good performer, the scent is ok but I was looking forward to the smell of Pitralon even more than usual.
