    That razor is too cool for school...Those repeaters were so far ahead of their time....no one has caught up yet!!!

    I saw yours lookin pretty so just had to take mine for a ride. Actually first time I tried the integral blade loading and it went smoothly.

    Mail call today!

    I won these two razors recently on low bids and I figured they’d arrive after Christmas. I’d been wanting a Clog Pruf to see how it compares to a G-Bar and ER 1912. The repeater razor was jammed when it arrived; the previous owner had loaded the blade tray upside down. The head cover is missing, but that’s not a big deal to me. The head still had a vintage Schick blade loaded (to my surprise, its much thicker than modern injector blades). After a good cleaning and some WD-40, it works like a charm. It’s my first repeater, so I look forward to the maiden shave. From a bit of research, I think it’s a C-1. I assume the L71 stamping is a serial number?

    Two of the best shavers evah!

    I couldn'd call one better than the other.

    The clog-pruf is perfection....and the Schick Simplified Automatic is maybe the coolest razor ever...Like Buck Roger's go to shaver!

    Looking forward to your shave reviews on both....start growing dem whiskers!!

    The time last year this Razor was a paper weight. Now that the base plate has been modified by a friend though still
    mild it does work. Having finally got used to it I have today completed 3 consecutive good quality Shaves.

    My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Tabac Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #217 brush. I did two passes with the AutoStrop A1 Safety Razor with a Modified Gem SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Tabac AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    If you do a search there was an effort a few years ago to track all the stamped numbers of the C Types. I think it was either @Darkbulb or @Redfisher who kept a spreadsheet. Anyways, no pattern emerged - still a mystery. :signs002:
