My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Eskimo Tuxedo Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #336 brush. I did two passes with the Bunny V3 Injector Razor with a Schick Proline B20 blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Great looking set up. How does the little Gem Feather Weight shave and what blade are you using?

 

Good morning, hope you all have some great shaves while bringing in the New year.
Razor: GEM push button 1958>
Blade:GEM Personna SS PTFE(4)
Soap: Nivea original shave cream
Brush: Razorock Plissoft
Preshave: wet the face and applied hot wet face cloth 2 times- that is relaxing practice.
Post shave: Razorock Emperor splash weakened with some witch hazel.
Post shave:Nivea balm

Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
Blade: Kai Captain Mild
Safety Razor: RazoRock Black Hawk
Straight razor: Boker 5/8
Brush: Surrey badger
Soap: Country Club for Men Cahaba Blues
Post: Witch hazel, Country Club for Men Sweet Water aftershave

Small experiment with the Boker straight. Shaved most of my cheeks with it and then switched to the Black Hawk. Three days of growth so there was plenty to mow down. Smooth shave in the end. Happy New Year!

It's a very good shave indeed. I used a Gem Stainless Steel ptfe coated blade.

Easier still to just whip out your trusty type D!

 

Schick engineers loved to tinker with the handles to make it easier to clean and install blades in the earlier versions. They built some nice razors and I like that rare model you own. Very nice eye candy.
