Thats one of the beauties of this hobby...how it allows all of us to find our shaving nirvannas in our own personal ways...one man's 1924 is another man's 1912...}8^))

I seem to have a preference for all things Ever-Ready...ha ha. 1909....1913ish LC...1914...1924...1912....All of these consistantly knock me out!

    Vulfix 404 mixed
    Vitos Super Red
    PAA Starling SE
    Gem S /S [2 ]
    Tuff Green A/S Lotion

My Fourth Shave with a Starling and by far away the best so far.I think that the Shaving process is helped along by the rich creamy lather that the Vitos produces so easily. The Razor has quite a bit of blade feel and I suspect if not handled carefully can bite a bit. In a way It reminds of the MMOC with its blade feel, though a Shave takes a little longer and the quality of the finished Shave is more like one with a HFT.

Alphabetical journey through soaps and creams
    Letter S

Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: vintage Gillette Platinum Plus
    Razor: Personna injector
Brush: Ever Ready 100T restored badger
    Soap: Stirling Dunshire
Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Dunshire aftershave

Easy shave with the Personna injector. It's certainly mild and I went over a spot on my neck either too much or with a little too much pressure and got a weeper. But that's how it goes sometimes. Smooth and comfortable otherwise. Have a great day!

    Micromatic Open Comb
    Gem Blue Star CS SE
    CWR
    Tabac AS

My prep was just a cold water rinse. After the CWR, I applied the Proraso. The Tabac Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #326 synthetic horse brush. I did two passes with the Micromatic Open Comb razor with a Gem Blue Star CS SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Tabac AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I have a Schick Type I1 and I2, both gorgeous with near perfect finishes. Agree, I get some of my best shaves with this razor. The Schick I rocks! My DE equivalent would be my Weber PH and KARVE B-F plates, E and F being efficient without losing smoothness. After 6 years in wet shaving, I only wish I would have discovered the Schick system sooner, only on 4 months.

Unexpected Granddad duties this evening so no photo.
The end result, a late and very enjoyable shave.

The Paradigm Titanium SE is the best razor I have ever used. My rex and my OneBlade V2 are right up there with it but the Paradigm is my favorite. The Duke 3 best badger brush from Simpsons provides the most luxurious experience when lathering my face. I rotate it with a vintage Ever-Ready #750 with TGN Premium Silver Tip, a vintage Ralph Lauren Pewter brush with TGN Finest (2 Band), and a Yaqi Moka Express 26 mm 2 Band Badger.

Maybe it's just me.... I bought the SUPPLY injector razor a few weeks ago. Sold it immediately. Plate dot 1: too mild. Dot 2: rough and inefficient. Dot 3: wicked blood bath. I like all my Schicks: M, I, and J being my favorites, L too mild. I couldn't get the SUPPLY to shave properly for my life. The worst razor burn and weepers of my past 6 years of wet shaving. Dot 3 was as aggressive as my Asylum Rx but ate my face. Good company, though. I really wanted it to work. Oh, the handle on the SUPPLY was weird and uncomfortable. I'm sticking with my Schick Type I... Love It

I know what you mean. I have all the Schick letters you mentioned and gave the Supply a hearty try. The angle is quite different. The razor handle is almost directly perpendicular to your face. There is a small sweet spot and if you get it then the shaving is very close, but if you miss it then you leave lots of stubble behind. I couldn't get comfortable shaves with the Supply, but I didn't buy one thankfully. Was allowed to borrow one and use it for a week or two.
