That one in the middle in the trio pic...and the last solo pic is a mid-term model E2. I'm a big fan of all the E2s!! They were all great shavers and easy on the eyes. These E2's with the pinned springs are supposed to be less aggressive...I don't know....I still need to be carefull with them...The one I have is Plenty Aggressive....But also veddy smooth at the sametime!!

That one in the middle in the trio pic...and the last solo pic is a mid-term model E2. Those had a pinned spring, but the top of the spring was still offset like the early spring that swung to the left to open...The later E2's had a pinned spring that looked similar to your Canadian, and still had the ears on the spring loop. I'm a big fan of all the E2s!! They were all great shavers and easy on the eyes. They say that the later ones with the pinned springs are supposed to have become less aggressive with each change...I don't know....I still need to be carefull with them...The one I have is Plenty Aggressive....But also veddy smooth at the sametime!!

My Canadian E2 (nickel plated, black handle) is my favorite E type. Its extremely efficient, maybe a bit aggressive but a wonderful shaver if handled properly. Ive currently got it loaded with a Dutch Schick blade.

Everyone one has a favourite which works for them. The ATT SE1 / Proline seems to suit my beard , as even with the blade on its 11th outing, the Shave was not only smooth and comfortable but the all round finish is top notch.

Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: Personna
    Razor: Schick B1 repeated
Brush: Satin Tip 'The Purest' synthetic
Soap: Taylor of Old Bond Street Jermyn Street cream
Post: Witch hazel, Nivea Deep Comforting aftershave

Nice shave with the B1 this morning. Wonderful deco design. Really fun to use something almost 100 years old and have it still be better than many modern tools. Have a great day!

    Damaskeene OC
    Gem Glue Star SE

    Tabac AS

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Tabac Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #339 Boar brush. I did two passes with the Damaskeene OC razor with a Gem Glue Star SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Tabac AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

RazoRock 400 Noir Plissoft Synthetic Shaving Brush
    Timeless Razors Lathering Bowl
    Williams Mug Soap
    CVS SE Blade-Modified
    VC1 Valet Auto Strop
    Nivea Aftershave Balm
    Pinuad Clubman Classic

I had a problem yesterday when I modified the blade to fit the Valet. While I was sitting at my desk and operating the lever to bring the safety guard up one of the pins fell out and then the other one fell out as well. I Loctited the pins back in and let the Loctite dry. This fix seems to be working. Glad this happened at my desk and not the bathroom sink.

First shave with the Auto Strop and it was not a bad shave. Very little alum burn, more of warm sensation than a burn. I would not make the Valet an everyday shaver but I will keep it in the rotation. When rinsing and moving the razor around I get a rattling sound at times and I think that is in the rollers. I just do not like my razors to rattle. The Valet is a great shaver though.

The Williams performed well and is a great soap.

Finished up with some Nivea and Clubman classic.

Y'all take care and have a great Thursday!

    ATT SE1 /Windrose Handle
    Schick Proline [ 12 ]

A back to back Shave with the ATT SE1. Why ? 1. Because I can and get trouble free Shaves. 2. Interested to see how the Blade performed on 12th outing.
Again a trouble free Shave, quite astounding quality of Shave from this Razor/Blade combo considering the blade usage. Must see how it fares with another blade.
