The rather unplanned purchase of this Razor has been a success, as it really delivers excellent Shaves. The odd looking handle really provides a superb varied grip, which makes it good for working against the grain and around the neck. It may well suit those who prefer a lighter AC/SE Razor.

    The Grosvenor [ Vulfix 404 ] -mixed
    Vitos Super Red
    Occams V2- No2 Plate
    Schick Proline [ 5 ]
    Jaguar Prestige A/S Lotion

Decided to do a rerun of yesterdays Shave as it was a very good no hassle experience. Despite its unusual appearance, The Occams is proving to be one of my best AC/SE Razors in ease of use and performance , which rather vindicates my on the spur of the moment purchase.

I have to mention the little Vulfix 404 mixed brush, despite it scrubby looking appearance once lathered up its tips are so soft when applying the lather, softer than my RazoRock Synthetics. It works beautifully with the Vitos to create a quick copius lather.

    CTAPT Shaving Cream
    Tom's 3D Printed Brush
    Henckels Rapide
    Vintage Gem Cutlery SE

    Aqua Velva Blue Ice AS

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The CTAPT Shaving Cream face lathered well with Tom's 3D Printed Brush. I did two passes with the Henckels Rapide razor with a Vintage Gem Cutlery SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Aqua Velva Blue Ice AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

It's Sunday once again and I took out another favorite GEM, my 1912 model(MFG in 1920's according to Waits razor book). This razor is a excellent tool that most should have in anyone's razor rotation IMO.
    Razor: Brass GEM 1912 model
Blade : GEM Personna SS PTFE (5)
    Soap: Razorock Lavender
    Brush: Razorock Noir 400 model
Pre-shave: Wet the face + Aloe Vera Gel
Post shave: Alum + cold water rinse
Post shave : Razorock XXX splash + Nivea balm

Schick Hydro Magic I 2 with (S)chick blade, shave 13.
    hmi2.jpg

Been a few days but I think this blade is officially done. This shave was particularly harsh still a very close shave but not like the earlier ones. Shave 12 was also pretty harsh but nowhere as bad of a barn burner as this one. My baseline is established for blade longevity which is 10 ~ 11 shaves max for now with single edge injector blades.

Next up is the Schick M 2 adjustable for the next 10 or so shaves.

Thanks Gary, unlike the shave, the album is very much a rough diamond.

After good Shaves with the Occams V2 I moved onto the heavier ATT SE, which delivered a top quality finish. However, Shave Time was much quicker today because of the extra weight.

Jim do you like how the Techmatic shaves?. Is it better than a cartridge razor?.

I got seven shaves out of a (S)chick in my Schick L-Model Injector. Yesterdays shave ended up smooth but my skin ended up suffering some irritation getting there. Some Nivea Sensitive Post Shave Balm took care of things.

It is a great shave. It is a single edge after all. Today, I could have done with just one pass, but I did a second pass on my neck. It was a fantastic shave. Really, if they still made replacement bands today, I'd be buying them. This one is an adjustable, and I am using it wide open.

    Schick adjustable M 2 with (S)chick blade, shave 1.
    m2_21.jpg

First shave with this razor, I counted out the clicks on gear from lowest to highest and assuming no slippage it has 42 possible adjustments. I started out right in the middle with it set to 21 clicks as pictured. Compared to the I 2 this setting is milder and end result the I 2 outperformed the razor on this setting for all 13 shaves I put in prior with it. Tomorrow I am going to try this razor setting 3/4 of the way which when rounded up is 32 clicks on the adjuster.
